Alexxxxx!! I'd love to see you try out the curly girl method! I'd love to see your natural curls pop out, I think it'll completely change how your hair feels, it won't feel as damaged or frizzy, even if you can't get curls from it, it might help improve the health a little!

When you cut the angled bang pieces it became too short because you didnt divide the bangs down the center again evenly. By not working each half separately, you pulled in hair from the opposite side which was then clipped too short. That said the short bangs are cute on you!

Alex!!! When brushing you hair, brush it from the tips of your hair and work your way up. doing this helps prevent damage from brushing out the knots in your hair. When you start from the top of your hair you're pushing down all the knots and tangles to the ends and they all accumulate there making it harder to brush out. This then causes you to rip and damage your hair when trying to brush them out. By starting at the bottom of your hair it prevents that from happening and is more gentle. I noticed you started from the top when you were brushing your hair out here 15:31 and with wet hair its even more important to do this because the hair is most fragile and prone to breakage when its wet. I hope this helps!

why did I never know this?! You have changed my life!!! Thank you!
@PSujka88Azi

Yes! But also brushing with a conditioner or a mask on should be fine because the hair are more 'slippery' and it helps spreading the product evenly. Also I don't that brush exactly but the tangle tezzer brushes can cause damage to the ends of the hair especially if you have fragile hair so I don't recommend those. I had TT before my ends were becoming more and more split :/ later I have learned that it was not only my experience and I said goodbye to it.
@bebe44144
@bebe44144 2 жыл бұрын
@@PSujka88Azi oh okay, I have no idea about tangle teasers cause I have never used those I just use a wet brush. Personally tho, even with a mask or conditioner I still start from tips when brushing my hair, just as an extra precaution for me. It’s also just become habit for me to brush it like that as well.

Hairstylist here! You did amazing except you missed one crucial part that he didn’t mention in his clip. Once you do your triangle section, split it down the middle and clip one side up! This helps to not accidentally grab hair from the other side. Then cut one side parallel to the parting then clip it up and do the other side! I know you can do it! Love the red ❤️

@Foirelle
@Foirelle 2 жыл бұрын
Agreed! It made the hair longer in the middle as a result. One thing I noticed is that she also missed *where* Brad grabbed the triangle section. He said not past the edge of the eyebrows, meaning not past the upper temples. Alex grabbed hair all the way to her ears, which resulted in a *wide* boxy fringe (not what she wanted from what I can tell). I know hair terminology and the like is difficult to understand, especially condensed in a Tiktok video. I wish she took more time to look at the sectioning part because it's like you said, the most crucial and effects the results as much as the cuts made. I'm glad Alex is getting to experiment with her hair though, best to get it out while you have length left so it can all be cut off proper after! I personally couldn't do it, scalp issues + head being small = disaster waiting to happen. I do love my natural hair and curls too so that helps. My hair experimentation shall live on in Alex's videos/life instead lol. Looking forward to what's next!

To keep your hair as healthy as possible. Once you have it cut by the professional... get a silk pillow case- this allows your hair to slip across your pillow case while you sleep without so much resistance and friction lessening frizz and split ends. Use only micro fiber hair towels on your hair when it is wet they are much gentler on your hair than regular towels.. do not brush your hair when wet. If you must do something with it while wet- A wide tooth comb or wet brush will do much less damage. also use a tangle teezer/ tangle tamer on dry hair instead of a regular brush. Always brush your hair from the ends up to the roots, working your way up allows the tangles to loosen instead of yanking the tangle down the hair shaft and causing stretching/breaking. And finally, really good shampoo and conditioner without sulfates and drying alcohols, and regular masking. Hope this helps!

I have a slight styling tip! I wanted to grown my bangs out and I styled them as curtain bangs whilst they grew and obviously they're too short to style the way Brad suggests but if you split your bangs in the centre and use a round brush (start with the brush on top of the bangs not underneath) and curl and dry away from the face (to the side) they mimic that curtain bang style! Hope that makes sense 😅

I love "chaotic and making the most of life Alex" and I will never tell her what she can and can't do with her hair. HOWEVER. Once you get it cut and want to start taking care of it again while it grows out, listening to some of these comments could be super helpful! Personally, I have fairly curly hair and always had insane damage because I didn't know how to take care of it. I know everyone has posted it all before, but the best and simple changes that are good for any and all hair: - Minimise heat usage, and use a heat protectant spray if you do need to use heat - Don't rub hair in towel, pat/dab/scrunch it instead (you're already all over this one! Woo!) - If you can, don't use a towel at all. Using a 100% cotton t-shirt will actually reduce frizz a lot better! - Try not to wrap your longer hair in the "hair turban" as it results in pulling/tugging hair at the roots - Brush slowly from the ends of your hair and move upwards incrementally (honestly a bloody life changer for me) - Use a wide toothed comb, particularly if you are brushing your hair while wet - If you hair gets super frizzy overnight, sleeping on a satin pillowcase or wearing a satin bonnet can do wonders! Cannot wait to see all these amazingly fun changes each Friday and so excited to see what the hairdresser does come Christmas!

YES! Coco&Eve is a great choice! You've been rebuilding the hair a lot with that Kerastase product, which is ok, but it does need nutrients and water more than aminoacids right now, so products like Coco&Eve are great to bring back moisture! Look for products (even cheaper ones from drugstores and supermakets) that contain ceramides, collagen, hyaluronic acid... Look specifically for hydrating products, stuff to put water back into the hair and you should be golden! Application wise: concentrate the product on the lenght and ends, not in the roots. The ends are the part that needs the most and the roots dont deal very well with heavy textured products, so avoid getting product there, unless explicitly indicated on the instructions.

I have two of those twist and button hair wrap things! I love them so much. They've helped some with the damage I used to do by towel drying my curly hair

Makes me so happy that her videos are leaning more towards 'lifestyle' lately! Hope she continues to do that after vlogmas too. Love seeing her friends in the vlogs. You can tell they are all such genuine, lovely people 💕

I always love seeing you hang out with your friends and Dan and the animals. It brings me such happiness. I was worried you were going to dye your hair in that beautiful dress, but laughed when I saw you were wearing the Lularoe skirts. Perfect use for those MLM monstrosities!

I love those micro fiber "turbans" at least that's what they called the one I bought. I no longer use regular towels only use that microfiber towel and my curls have started to come back!! WOOOHOO

I don’t comment often but you should definitely try a shaved head or pixie cut! I shaved my head in year 11 for be brave and shave, and it’s was so freeing! Hair dries almost immediately, and it feels so nice to touch. Only issue is growing it out (a few awkward mullet moments and bad boy band hair) but that was mostly my own fault for not getting regular haircuts to help style it as it grew out. You would look SO GOOOD with short hair, excited to see the hair transformations you go through this December and what ever the final product is!
