Both sis! They Both look great! The smell of the Curly Magic to me is floral, but a natural floral scent similar to a lily or an orchid. And the curl maker is a grapefruit but has that undertone on marshmallow that we all love!

I've yet to do this comparison 💀😂 but your curls seem to be popping more on the Uncle Funky's side, but you seem to have less frizz toward the root area on the Camille Rose side. Overall, popping per usual 💁😘 and you know I agree with you on the smell of the Uncle Funky's 💀🤣

Sis, you should try the CRN coconut water leave-in + Deva Curl Super Stretch Coconut Curl Elongator + UFD Curly Magic! Elongation, shine, definition for days! I actually like the fragrance of Curly Magic. I prefer Curly Magic over Curl Maker because of the shine, it plays well with so many different leave-ins and it's cheaper than Curl Maker.

So after seeing them dry, I like the volume at the root on the Uncle Funky's side.It seems to have a note natural flow. The Curl maker aside seems a little stiff and less volume, but great shine. Both are defined well.

Both do look good!!!! Can you link a video or explain how you preserve your hair over night. I know you show the styling process then pop back in a day or so later with the results, just wondering how you keep them looking so fresh.

Always have your hair soaking wet with gels! My hair dresser used uncle funky's daughter on me first wash and go, JHEEZE I loved it! She went crazy with excitement how my hair turned out but yea UFD does take long to dry lol. I used camille rose last week, it worked loved how it but you gotta make some twists with that 1. Uncle funky's leaves a bit of a grease but I thought it was perfect for my dry scalp and kept it moist the whole time. Curl maker, I've had to re-moisture a few times and had flakes.

Your hair is amazing--so shiny and voluminous! Mine is 2b/2c and Uncle Funky's Curly Magic Curl Stimulator is my favorite gel. It gives me the most definition and makes my waves look almost like spirals in some places. The smell does not bother me--it reminds me of lemongrass, which I like. My (very close) second favorite gel is Jessicurl's Spiralicious, and I appreciate that I can choose the scent (or "no scent added") to go in it or any other product of their brand. Uncle Funky's CMCS edges it only because I feel it holds my waves better through days 3 and 4, and it dries faster on my hair, so I can get on with my day sooner. I haven't tried the Camille Rose Curl Maker, but after seeing how beautiful your hair is, I definitely will. Thank you!

Camille Rose curl maker is my number one. And Uncle Funky's daughter only if I accidentally ran out of my curl maker. Which is hardly never. I would like to see a comparison between CR Lavender line and CR Curl Maker.

I was rooting for Curl Maker, that's my favorite non-heavy gel. But now seeing the results, I think curly Magic wins out on curl definition and shine. It's also $5 cheaper than Curl Maker at Target. Definitely gonna buy a bottle.

I’ve been using uncle funky which I absolutely LOVE bc of how bouncy my curls look but I’ve had a problem with frizz toward to top of my head and I noticed you had that too and it wasn’t like that with the curl maker so I might just have to switch

Both sides look beautiful but it boils down to how your curls feel. I’m going to try the Curl Maker to see which works best for me. I also have low porosity type 4 hair. Love Uncle Funkys Daughter Curly Magic.

I like both jellies but prefer the As I Am Curling Jelly which is very similar and has a better smell than these (you can get the 16oz jar on Amazon). Also good and similar is the Mielle Organics Pomegranate and Honey Coil Sculpting Custard (might have a slightly different name)...the smell is just like the Curl Maker and has a little more hold than the others. Would love to see a comparison video on these if you're interested.

I'm choosing curl maker. The smell is everything. I use it in the ends of my locs. My ends are not locked. I left them out so curls can accumulate and curl maker never disappoints. The natural ingredients are a plus

I am so sad!!!! I have a thick, curly, high density, med/course hair strands, 3B/3C/4A lioness mane & the curly magic won't grip my hair 😢😢😢 I can't use the Camille Rose because it has coconut oil. I am so hurt!! It's a sad day in the natural hair community for me 😁😁😂

Same problems, my hair is just cantankerous and 'SPECIAL'. What do u use instead??? NO gels work 4 me. My low-porosity hair can't handle coconut oil nor protein. I also cannot use Ecco Stylers bc its bad ingredients cause me so extrremmme breakage. For lack of a better gel, Guess I will stick w UFD (I use a tiny amt & dilute w some warm water or LI). Its like feeding a precious baby. MOST OF TIME IT STILL FLAKES TOO.
