The repetitive nature of running can lead to overuse of the supporting muscles around the knee. If these muscles are weak or tight improper alignment while running often results, which puts a lot of force into our kneecap causing it to push too far left or right and sometimes even too far back. This causes knee pain, discomfort, and a increased chance of injury along with a reduction of power and speed.
