Tom, the Manifold is blocked in the middle, so you have the Flow on one side & the Return on the other. Before your time mate. Ah yes, you gotta love the old Gledhill Sludgebucket👍👍

Only thermal store Ive come across was joining gas and solid fuel, so combi going through the coil and doing hot water, then solid fuel going into the mass of the store and heating pumping out of it. Great video as always mate

They are perfect for that situation, for standard rads and hot water I don't think you can beat an unvented on a s plan, nice and simple and easy to fix, thanks for watching as always mate 👍

Hi Tom, I have seen the boiler mates years ago when working with my dad, but I don’t ever remember working on one myself. It would take me a while to work out how they function before I could do any work, as you say I think the best advice is scrap that system all together. I hope you get the job at that property in the New Year, it will make a great series. Thank you for another educational film for me, I look forward to the next film and as always take care Tom. 👍👍👍

Great vid mate, a fountain of knowledge, I always chuck a bit of antifreeze in all the traps too as ive seen toilets crack in caravans and vac cistern out

Fair point mate, this house will be gutted come new year so I'm not to worried about protecting the traps or toilets, it's a good point though, thanks for watching 👍

Paw prints happen when the tile has been baked in the sun. Common in Mexico.

The thermal stores are good for warming up houses quickly because of the volume of stored water at high temperature. Downside is if the hot water coil splits because of the constant hot to cold cycling . Have a good Christmas Tom .

Is it just me but when I use a silicon fugi tool to get a neat bead the bead looks fine but it always leaves a very fine almost invisible film of silicon either side of the nice bead.

It does do that, I go over with a larger size after to clean up the joint, thanks for watching 👍

What’s the damage to fit a unvented cylinder for me give me a quote Tom and where’s the best place to put it I’m on s plan boiler is in the roof space I have 3zone valves and have solar on the roof 14panels

It is difficult to say without looking at the job, the only tricky bit when they are in the roof is you may need to reinforce the floor up there and you may need to clip the discharge right down to the bottom on the outside. The best bet would be to get a few quotes of local g3 plumbers and see what they recommend, thanks for watching as always Glyn
