Isn't nuts and bolts good though? I mean sure it Isn't a collectathon like the older games, but its still fun in its own way. I feel like this scenario is similar to Luigi's Mansion when it first dropped. Everyone was excited for a new Mario game, but then they showed off Luigi. Tons of people hated it when it came out, but after a few years, people realized how good the game actually is. I know Nuts and Bolts came 8 years after tooie, and everyone wanted a collectathon, but perhaps after enough time has passed, people will really enjoy it for what it is, not what they wanted it to be.

What about when L.O.G. insults players thinking that collectibles are pointless and that we don't want 3-D platformers anymore, but rather shooters. He didn't take into account that the Collect-A-Thon 3-D platformers we loved was built around collecting and probably never heard of the old saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it.". Luigi's Mansion get a pass because it's a spin-off of the Mario franchise that stars a different Mario character and not a main series installment that has little to nothing to do with why the franchise was popular to begin with. On its own, maybe it would be a good game, but because Nuts & Bolts was a Banjo-Kazooie game, that's where the backlash came in. Maybe think about that for a moment there, huh?

Luigi's Mansion at least has a sense of charm and capturing the ghosts doesn't get repetitive. Nuts n' Bolts has a physics engine I hate, has way too many things around the place for you to run into and mess you up, and just feels more like a chore list than a fun way to collect items.

It would be awesome if they made a Banjo-Threeie that retcons everything from Nuts & Bolts, just as long as it's made by a competent team of developers and not so much what Rare has become today.

it's been a hot minute. How you been? You hear the rumors about a direct soon? Personally i don't believe em cuz TGS isn't til the end of the month but eh. Personally i'd treat hat in time as Banjo Threeie. Yes Hat in time over Yooka Laylee, fight me commenters.

Well Nintendo has nothing to do with TGS. And with their being a direct in every September except one (for good reason) it's not out of the realm of possibility to believe one is coming very soon. Though I will say I'm putting my expectations for it rather low. It'll probably just be a bunch of trailers for games we already know about but I'm hoping we get at least 2 new games shown (the rumored DK and Kirby games would be nice) the Switch Online to have Game Boy and Game Boy Color games (there is datamining to prove them) and the CP 11 trailer for Smash.

@@cjszero01 Yeah but theres rumors about SOMETHING involving Monolith soft. Not sure what if i had to guess X is getting remastered. Lord forbid they print more copies of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 though. Really though i know nintendo never has been a part of any convention outside of E3 but it's so unusual they arent in TGS.

@@cjszero01 Ya know what else is both the active leaks (aside from verge as he said the guy who gave him the info is unreliable) it can be either one of two green space marines coming. Probably even both.

@@TheKoopaManSho1 Only time will tell at this point. We'll finally know the truth about what's going on soon enough. I'm just worried about how the fandom will go about it. I have my"pick one of 4 characters" that I think would be great to end Fighters Pass 2 on.

@@cjszero01 Personally as long as it's not a Generation 8 Pokemon rep. Smash is supposed to be a celebration of good games that try, which is why Bubsy isn't in smash. :P Course my big hope is my suspicions there is a pass 3 that's been delayed by covid so not yet ready to be announced is in the works, Street Fighter had 7, Tekken is up to 5, Soul Calibur is still working on their Third, and the only reason Mortal Kombat stopped their DLC passes is cuz they had to start and stop development cuz Warner Bros cannot decide if they're selling them or not, we were supposed to get at least Ash Williams and Smoke.
