Jay’s intense concern over KB was adorable. And as someone with a disability, I related a lot to what she said this episode. Finding that balancece between wanting to be treated like everyone else while also accepting when you need accommodations to do things and what your limitations are.

It isn't stated outright, but based on how much of KB's head is taken up by her implants, the implication is that her accident involved a brain injury that left her quadriplegic, and her implants took over her motor functions.

What amazing disability representation. This hit...HARD. Also, according Bryce Dallas Howard, the Rennod shanty was meant to just be a spoken poem but Jude Law came to her and was like, "don't think you think I should sing this, you know like a pirate?" And she just went, "Oh. YES JUDE LAW, famous actor, we would like that very much." Also the giant crag was stop motion, done by the same guy who did the AT-ATs in Empire. How awesome is that.

@Jack_MxM14 күн бұрын
Jake Lloyd, Ahmed Best, George Lucas, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Kellie-Marie Tran, Moses Ingram (and probably others that don't immediately come to mind) are all victims of the most toxic fanbase on the Internet. I'm hoping they don't turn their negative attention to these kids next, but you never know with some people 😒
@Narco4214 күн бұрын
The fans never went after Jake the way the media made it out to be. It was the same thing that is happening now. The Phantom Menace wasn't well received so the media played the shell game and blamed the fans for being mean to the kid who played Anakin. Every time a "main stream" production flops they blame the "toxic fans."

Incredibly biased on my part and definitely a hot take, but my absolute favorite Star Wars projects are Andor, Skeleton Crew, Rogue One, certain episodes of Visions and the first two seasons of Mandalorian. Now… I do love the skywalker family and original journeys, but weirdly I think the best Star Wars is when they explore that universe outside of one (important) family in the galaxy. It’s so expansive and you can tell these projects were made by people who grew up with Star Wars and wanted their own stories in the mix

Since you guys love spaceships, pirates, sci-fi and all that cool stuff you should check out the Japanese anime Space Pirate Captain Harlock. The original tv series ran in 1978 and had a series finale film called Captain Harlock: Endless Odyssey. Or you could just check out the reboot movie from 2013 and it's sequel called Captain Harlock: Dimensional Voyage. Captain Harlock has THE most amazing pirate spaceship called The Arcadia, it's honestly the star of the whole series, it has a healing factor and can rebuild itself.
