most health care workers in Hawaii and many larger cities in the US are from the Philippines. But is true that in general wages in Hawaii tend to be low and the cost of living is high. Price to pay for living in paradise.

No wonde there’s been so many nurse calls to Hawaii from Canada. There’s an agency trying to attract Canadian nurses, paying upwards of $75 an hour

Hawaii is getting exactly what it deserves. Politicians did absolutely nothing to prevent home prices, rent prices, utility costs, food costs and everything else from skyrocketing. And now that they have driven locals from Hawaii, they are going to see a shortage of essential workers, and decreased revenue from taxes into state coffers, which will put the state into a crisis. The only people left in Hawaii will be the extremely wealthy and the extremely poor, and since we all know that rich people don't pay their fair share of taxes, tax revenues will continue to drop. Then politicians will be scrambling to lure people back to the state, but it's already too late. Hawaii's chickens are coming home to roost. Too bad, so sad. You're SOOL.

Actually Hawaii is affordable, I’m live in both Waikiki and Boston, Hawaii is cheaper !!!!
