I have ordered several times from Wuta. Takes a few weeks to land in the states, but I have had good luck with them. I also didn't run into any problems with contact them going through eBay. Jfyi.

It must just be me they don't want to talk to then. Everyone else who has ordered these has said the same, great contact and reasonably speedy service. I have not heard anyone say they had an issue with ordering from them and they are nice little irons.

Will it be okay for the tool to penetrate 4.5mm thickness?

Hello Ahmad, While the Wuta irons are pricking irons (so the deeper the irons go into the leather, the bigger the hole they make) the teeth are long and slender so will pierce 4.5mm of leather, but they will leave a big hole. There are better suited irons like the KS Blade or Sinabrocks for this task. I hope that is helpful. Regards, Nigel.

Hi Thanks for the video! I’m looking at getting a set of these, would you recommend 3.85mm as being a versatile size? Also they list obverse and reverse on their listing, which would you recommend please?

I have the 3.85's obverse and reverse. I use them predominantly on knife sheaths. I thoroughly recommend them for work like this. You might want to go down a size if your intending to make finer items like watch straps and wallets. The obverse set will be adequate for almost all work you'll come across. My understanding is that reverse irons are useful for box making but I don't have enough experience to say whether this is the case or not. The company originally sent me a reverse set by mistake but were great to deal with and resolved the problem without any hastle. I prefer the appearance of the stitch these produce to my 3.8 Crimson Hides. I've found they do best with 0.6mm Tiger thread but you can go to 0.8mm for chunkier projects like a large sheath. In summary these are great value and very high quality. Just be aware that you'll need to use an awl if your sewing several pieces of leather stacked together.
