As for the flag of St George, it was adopted by the city of London during the crusades, so that its shipping could be protected by the Genoan fleet en route to the holy land. The patron saint of Genoa, is saint George, which is why they use his cross. The same cross is also used in Barcelona, and can be seen on the badge of their football team. For you to even say that your not racists because you have black and asian members, reaffirms my point. The BNP has black members, they're still racist.

@johnny45irish I thought my answer was quite plain. English men who happen to be members of the Orange Order of England are marching to celebrate their patron saint's day. What is wrong with that, why shouldn't they celebrate their patron saint, or invite whoever they like to provide musical accompaniment to the parade? If the organisers of the Dublin Saint Patrick's day parade invited the Sons of Mohammud Flute Band to play, would I get upset because I don't like Islam, would I heck.

Funny how you call me the looper, when the number of lodges mean nothing. It's impossible for St George to have spread Christianity in England, as he died in the 4th century, 100 years before the Romans left. The remaining christian romans made up a small population, and were wiped out by the invading Polytheistic Anglo-Saxon tribes in the years that followed. In the 7th century, Christianity was re-introduced by missionaries from Scotland, ireland and Europe, adhereing to Rome.

Nice to see the rebsofireland looking at some good culture on a site dominated by clips of british army, loyalism i always knew yr reb bands dont have any class just hit the drums as hard as ye can while yer dummy fluters try to make a tune. Also in our place which is glasgow theres some areas 1 or 2 where we are not welcome garngads 1 while the loyal instituitions walk with relative ease through anywhere.Iam sure if anybody had images of loyal marchers getting a doin youd see it none on you tube

Hardly! The Loyal orders support traditional Christian family values.

why the fuck are they marching for. st george's day is the saint day for st george, who is the patron saint of england. not northern ireland, loaylism or the orange order. i was born and have lived in england all my life, and i know that most english people don't care what you lot have have to say and some would go as far as calling you lot racists. like st patricks day for the irish, st georges day is about patriotims and nationalism for the english people. this makes no fucking sense at all.
