Immediately after the fight, Fujita approached to James Thompson's site, obviously being concerned about the degree of his opponents' injury, which indicates his warmhearted & compassionate aspects of his disposition & personality. Not too many the triumphed or the winner, as we all know, is able to show such concern of sympathy to the opponent who was hard trying to kill or destroy you just until minutes ago. All I’m saying is James Thompson’s corner gave him the wrong advice… they should’ve told him to catch his breath while in full guard but keep body weight pressure on him 🤦🏾♂️ once they said “get up!” And he did he caught a 2-piece directly on the chin. Still a classic and this is a great showing of Fujita’s heart 🤝🏽 and how good of a fighter Thompson became once he started taking it seriously

From what I understood. Fujita’s is a great strategist. Although he took many hits to the face. He managed not to get knocked out. When he was on the ground, his opponent kept trying to hit him. Which is very tiring when you are wrestling someone. Whereas fujita’s wasn’t wasting any of his. The other guy’s coach didn’t take into account his vessel’s stamina when he urged him to get up. His opponent now exhausted. Fuji landed an incredible combo that Finnish the big guy.

Say what you want about this kind of fight -- but those punches Thompson was taking are the kinds of punches that make you brain-dead later in life. Don't say no -- I know it, I've seen it. Courageous fight? Yes. Brave fight? Yes. Resilient, yes. Tough, absolutely. But Thompson has taken too many solid shots to his head in his career. Look closely in this fight -- he was out on his feet with his marble-like eyes at one point. Look at his legs, and the way he's throwing his fists to defend himself (just instinct). Fujita kept his head as he threw his fists & knew he had to stay focused (look at his face) though it was evident he was tiring. His accuracy was well-controlled. Nothing wasted. It was a great fight but I get concerned with that kind of exchange. Seen too many warriors deteriorate with time -- after the fight. One solid punch to a KO victory is one thing, several solid shots to bring a person down can be tragic. James was down for a long time in this one. All we did was cheer, get up, go pee, get another beer, and to our cars in the parking lot. James may have had a concussion. But hey, it comes with the job. Next...
