I just plumbed in my Linea Mini last month using the La Marzocco kit; I wish this was available back then because the whole process of taking off the body panels to plumb in the water line to the pump was frustrating to say the least.

Will be interested to hear if this same kit can be used on the new Micra?

I have the same question!

La marzocco is using a metal pipe and getting rid of that has copper, isn't it risky to use plastic hose where it gets very hot and may have a small hole and starts leaking!?

Thank you for posting this video. I have had my Mini for 48 hours and planning to plumb it in soon and this certainly looks the better option for me rather than the La Marzocco kit as I intend to use 1/4 " John Guest piping and don't have the ability to drain the driptray as it's nowhere near a waste pipe. I just opened up my machine to check your instructions and I can see where to route the piping, my machine does not have an access panel cover, just a round hole above the driptray sensors. Hopefully it's not too silly a question but what is the purpose of the black 90deg valve by the copper pipe? Is it a drain of some sort?

The valve is for priming the pump if an air bubble is present and the machine is not filling correctly. There is tech bulletin with more details here - lamarzoccousa.com/bulletin/tb-151-linea-mini-self-priming-system/

@@primacoffeeequipment that is good to know. Thank you very much for your help.

Great video with very clear instructions! Thanks! Quick question, can I use a 1/4 water supply tubing instead of the 3/8 tubing to connect to the T? So in that case I need a 1/4 to 1/4 push lock adaptor instead. I’m asking because most Flowjet water pumps use 1/4 water supply tubing instead of 3/8. Will that be appropriate? Thanks!

Yes, that would work!

The alligator clip seems clumsy/cumbersome...making a contact bypass plate would be pretty simple

One question. Why do you still need the copper tubing if you can install a 1/4” fitting to 3/8 push lock directly at the T? The Small Copper tube end is 1/4” fitting right?
@primacoffeeequipment2 жыл бұрын
You install the push lock fitting onto the copper 1/4" copper tube.

@@primacoffeeequipment i mean there is a push lock connector that has 1/4” fitting on the other end. Basically you can replace the whole copper tube right? Or is the fitting between stainless T & copper tube has special fitting that hard to replace?
@gusmank2 жыл бұрын
This kind of connector: encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTOQoPmodYme3MlRvkhYObenSPj-zkbNI62CQ&usqp=CAU

@@gusmank The fitting at the stainless tee is a 6mm metric male pipe fitting. We use the existing copper tube and compression fitting to transition between the tee and the 1/4" push lock fitting. Watch starting at 6:10 in the video. Let us know if you have any other questions!

@@primacoffeeequipment oke now i get it. I tried to connect the 1/4” fitting directly to the Rotarypump but the water is leaking if the fitting is not pressfit / sealed. So yes. Connecting the 1/4” push lock into the copper pipe is alot easier. And no leak happens.
