It really was something, to walk off the summer streets of early 90's London, into the cool darkness of a London club and hear this playing. You walked to the bar, payed £3 for a beer, and waited for whoever was playing that night to amble onto the stage and play. Them was good old days.

The entire 90’s was pure bliss and history I lived through as a teenager & made me feel a man not s boy I was so confident all down to epic songs and role models we just don’t have today we had The Verve, cast, lightning seeds, seahorses, stone roses, cardigans, cranberries, ocean colour scene, Radiohead, Manic Street Preachers, Kula Shaker, garbage, The Corrs, Travis, The Bluetones, The Charlatans, Blur, Oasis, Paul Weller, The Brand New Heavies, The Beatles Anthology with Free As A Bird, Real Love, Space, Soup Dragons, Primal Scream, Michael Jackson’s History Album we knew we were in a special time we knew music had completely changed and gone back to its epic roots of blues rock, indie Rock, Alt Rock, Prog Rock it brought 60’s & 70’s back but mixed it, blended it together to make something better we didn’t realise we were in actual HISTORY, too busy going to work then out on a Friday, Saturday, sometimes Sunday, Tuesday singing along singing hearts out to stuff like design for life, don’t look back in anger, cigarettes and alcohol, Turn, Life Of Riley, Beautiful One’s, Broken Stones, Riverboat Song, Day We Caught The Train, Loaded, Love Is The Law, Female Of The Species, Shelter, Bartender & The Thief, Lucky Man, Space & Time, Country House, Parklife, Robin Hood, There’s No Other Way, Song 2, The Universal, The Masterplan, Champagne Supernova, Changing Man, Caught By The Fuzz, Alright, Out Of The Sinking, Hung Up, Changing Man, Shelter, You Are The Universe, Tattva, Govinda, Handbags & Gladrags, Thousand Trees, Local Boy In The Photograph, More Life In A Tramps Vest, Begin Again, Avenging Angels, I really could go on on and on Shower Your Love, it was the decade of legends and Legendary Anthems you felt amazing as a teenager something thst had been missing people were losing hope in early 90’s with tories in power 80’s pathetic new Romantic Wave sound with spandau ballet, boy George, Duran Duran msn makes me depressed just typing it, the 90’s awoke roots of music back up gave us Rock again and America had legends like Sheryl crow freaken adored her, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, R.E.M, Nirvana Alanis Morrisette, it was incredible it was unique everyone had their own Rock sound every single got bettter better & better it was magic it inspired me to pick up guitar gave me hunger for it and wanting to write my own songs which I accomplished, there was so many epic albums in Woolworths you just didn’t know which one to pick that week out of your pay check, we honestly believed it would keep going on like this especially when early noughties hit and you got Coldplay’s Parachuttes, Dido, But there was beginning of the end because even though I adore Coldplays first 3 albums it was Coldplay thst briught in the serious white depressing sound which we now have today with females screaming to no melody, no harmony, no epic backing, you can’t understand what they are singing about now they are doing covers because they can’t write, first time in history today’s generation where music industry is losing money because of the songs not internet, not downloading as no one is downloading todays singers they are all going to 70’s & 90’s I’d give my life right here fight now for just 2-3 days to go back to 1997

Fortunately the more empathetic opinions have remained and the opinions I had due to 'my education' and 'propaganda' have been erased by doing my own research and trying to be nice to people who I've been told I shouldn't really like. @Sleeping And maybe they were right, the 'oldies' (in Asia the young respect the older generation as having wisdom, as it should be), just as I am right. Maybe music has been getting worse since classical music. But there has been a change in music from my generation to yours, not just a quantitative put a qualitative change. Music has lost its humanity, it's turned into a technological program, like computer code. Using Technologies like quantization and Auto-Tune to remove all Humanity from it. additionally there are about three or four basic formulas for creating today's music , nothing more, no imagination, no thinking outside the box. And all popular music today is written by three or four of the same people - some old Swedish guys. Regarding Weatherall and Gillespie, they made music possibly *because* they had my attitude that what's being produced is wholly inadequate, so they decided to make something better. What are you doing? What music are you creating? What music is your generation creating, who are your spokesmen? Where are your Whos, Led Zeppelins, Pink Floyds, Yes's? Where are your David Bowies, Princes, Police, Clashes, Cures, Sisters of Mercy, Smith's, OMDs, Kraftwerks? I could go on and on but I will relent so that you can answer my question and successfully argue that your generation's music is as good as mines was. Good luck.

@LucasOliveira-pw6wd3 жыл бұрын
Actually, she said in a interview with Zane Lowe that she’d never heard anything by Primal Screams before she wrote and produced the song, but when she was made aware of it, she reached out to Bobby and showed them the song and got their like “blessing”, which I think is super respectful and nice. And I do think it’s possible that two artists capture the same vibe and of course Lorde’s music owes a lot to her forebearers

I always do👍 Beggars Banquet, Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers, Exile On Main Street, Goats Head Soup, It's Only Rock-'n'-roll, also Aftermath, Between The Buttons and Their Satanic Majesties Request. Singles Collection, the London Years is also a great compilation. All their singles and b-sides up to Brown Sugar.
