You can actually squeeze out a little more EXP (not that it's needed) by dropping Study Lover and Board Freak and using Knowledge is Power (I think that's the name) from Majolene which is an evility cost of 2 and you gain +20% EXP when equipped with a Staff. Of course, the catch is that you have to use a Staff. Again, though, it's not needed since you already hit max level with your current method.

Dominant Smile does not cap out at 4 characters, IF you're using Overlord's training or stat lowering Evlities. I highly recommend you place it on at least 5 characters to nullify the loss from Overlord's Training and hit 2x of your base stats.

theres also the lucky songs giving an extra 30%, coupled with the extra 20% left over from dominant smile = 50% which negates overlord training. then the remaining 100% from dominant smile increases your stats to the cap.

hey man, curious if you can help me out with this problem thats stumping me. been using galaxy mage to level for a while now, got mao all caught up to my galaxy mage to take over leveling using this guide. got my mao set up exactly like yours in the video and tried the exact stage ive been farming on with galaxy mage(final martial RAK). hes producing 70t LESS exp with MORE evilities dedicated to exp farming. same party with same evilities(happy song on everyone,etc) before you ask. checked his D-Merits, the whole 9 yards. am I missing something?

So we are breaking the game disgaea 5 style? Nice. I'm not up to date with the dlc but if they release fuka she has a 1 point evility which treats the current character as a prinny. Equip that to your main 10 characters, add them to the biggest squad available and fill that squad with prinnies, because iirc other members of the squad which are not in the party affect the bonus of prinny instructor. But that would just lower the barrier to start using the method

Oof. I have everything i need for this setup, except my Mao is still weak and my gear is nowhere near good enough to even touch the GoDs in this fight. So i just need to figure out my next priority. I'm thinking i need to go for beating Rak Baal for the sword, which i imagine is still going to require some slower grinding because i just unlocked Yasha stats, and those take a super long time to grind. Any quicker ideas for getting strong enough to beat this stage at lv 1?

not really, you could farm 9 characters 4 equips worth of sumo wreslters and easily beat Rak baal and then use a prinny to farm this stage with (same set up) you'll earn less exp due to not having Maos evilitiy but i think by math it SHOULD still be enough to hit max level with

I cant quite get to 99,999,999 but i get to 88mil levels for everyone because at this stage i need a max level mao to kill the enemies so i cant use precocious secret yet, however 88mil is still waay better than what i was getting before. :D I missed so many of the evilities when i first looked through them all on the DLC characters that are in this guide so that helps immensely as well

Couldn't you drop 3 points of XP gain Evilities on Mao to give him Prinny Instructor for a net gain? Board Freak, Precocious (+20%), and Study Lover (+10%) is 30% XP for 3 evility slots, but Prinny Instructor would be +100% for 3? I know some of the XP Evilities apply as the XP is being put in the "bucket" and other apply as the XP is being divvied up, so this might not work, though.

it doesnt work by equiping it to him, he would boost other units. it doesnt actually boost themselves. its like happy song in that regard so no, it wouldnt

Valv does not start at level 9999... it is actually based on I believe the highest level you reached. This means at early game you'll get a level 1 Valv, while if you get a random mage up to level 9999 then he will be level 9999. ...though that being said if you're doing this in the first place you'll likely have that level requirement.

Does the addition of the DLC character Fuka and the Evilty "Prinny Hat" change the optimal setup here? I've not tested it but the prinny hat evilty treats you as a prinny. I'm not sure how that works with prinny instructor yet.

No, its actually worse overall because you lose EXP boosting evilities to become a prinny instead of just using the squad for it

Can someone point out what I'm doing wrong? I get about 770T XP per battle instead of the 2Qd mentioned (without the tickets). - Evilities are the same (except on the attacker I have the one where you get 20% while using a staff instead of the 20% if below level 1000) - Mao is still new, so I don't have his boost yet - Because of not enough stats yet the attacker is not lvl 1 (I suspect here is part of the problem) - some characters are leveled through the honor-guard squad (this might affect me, but I think it shouldn't)

you need CEAZY levels of SP to do this. something most level 1 dont have... with out the HL farm system from the yet to come out DLC. most can not do this untel post Final Baal and then some. after all he got 800 hours on that save....

you only need 1 QT sp to do this, something you can get from just level 9999 rak items (ive not even once boosted SP on any of my gear, Mao also was not boosted with evilities or squads when leveling and he only had about 400sp aptitude) 1QT is EXTREMELY easy to get, and length of my save means nothing considering a very large chunk of that is testing, grinding lower end methods and farming item points. there are people on gamefaqs farming like this with skills on saves with less than 100 hours on them.

This is a heck of a lot harder without combo maker/fetters when your gear/stats aren't all that great yet. I couldn't kill one god of destruction at 7 stars.

I don't use either of these and I just used a witch to kill them instead. And I killed them at 20 stars as well because I wasn't sure if the exp caps with level or with bonus stats. No boost tickets either. You don't need Mao for this at all, it works just fine without him. It's a bit slower, but I beat Rakshasa Baal all the same.

something i wonder is, Raksha is the final difficulty and only afte you beat it(at last the Rakasha dimention) u can unlock Yakascha Stat limits & co. so it is "not realy" needet an just for more fance numbers in the end.... or will thare be a content DLC were u will need thosen fance numbers?

the 4000 stat limit helps with rakshasa baal, the true "endgame" content. and then once you beat him you get to do it again but on 20star difficulty which needs litarally everything maxed

The stat cap is necessary but you can definitely get by without the big grind for 4k stats 2k will do the job just fine I'm sure with clever use of evilities and mechanics

I was able to do first time but since used stat boosting evilities on mao after reincarnation atk dropped to365billion. So had to cheese with 3 mecha with one having poison and 4 other ailments, other 2 mecha didn't have poison. So poison first two an paralyze others letting poison do work on first two keeping others paralyzd. Repeated with other 3, but put mao in base to recharge SP. Then killed next 2 and before killing last one put mecha back in base bringing out other 3 characters to level. Bit of pain in a** but worked great only added few minutes to process.

Check your settings or the cheat shop. I forget where. But there is a toggle for using the boost tickets on or off so that could be why you cant see or use them

Check the actual game settings (not cheat shop). There is an option for use of Boost Tickets (they did come with season pass) in there towards the bottom on the 2nd page. Hopefully you didn't accidentally use them all by now. I wish they woulda have made that an easier thing to know.

Not really. This method just makes it easier to level up multiple characters instead of just 1 per fight from the previous tutorial. So basically you can still level up and max out if you have the will and patience without needing any dlc. Played all Disgaea games (except for 3) and never really found the need to get the DLCs. Never much a completionist too so I never really cared for beating the Baal levels 😂

well, aside from as i mentioned in the video the boost tickets are free if you just use platinum coins for them, secondly if you dont want to use them you dont have to for your karma farm you'll still be getting 2QD exp per character each fight. saying its "pay to win" its like saying every disgaea since D3 has been pay to win given how much benefit there DLC characters gave to grinding.

not anymore it doesnt, with this set up you cut that time down to under 10 minutes without a boost ticket. and thats if you actually go to max level, for pure karma its best to just do 1-2 fights and then reincarnate at around level 40-50m because it only needs a fraction of the EXP when compared to max

So they might be "free" but they aren´t really "free". And I lost a 200 hour save file for Disgaea 4 on PS3. I did not try to grind. Disgaea 5 I stopped halfway because how you aquired the best weapons feelt extremely frustrating. I also don´t remember if I grabbed DLC characters for D5.

This really highlights one of the worst things about Disgaea postgame. You get everything cool so late that what's the point? Do people really love random numbers and endless auto battling that much? By the time you'll be able to do any of this you'll be hundreds of hours into the game, all story maps are already beaten, bonus maps done, you've recruited all characters and have such powerful gear you can can solo a lvl full of Bals on lvl 1 anyways.
