My local primark (Hanley) has just turned the top floor into a massive homeware section and it's amazing 🥺 furniture and loads of art and plants. But the clothing hadn't been that great recently

I feel a bit like I'm on pause watching someone shop for winter clothes. Today marks the 246th day my state has been in lockdown since the beginning of the pandemic and apart from grocery shopping I don't think I've been in a shop since June. So even though it was 20oC here today I'm dreaming of coats and boots :'-) hahaha Am loving so much of what I was seeing as you walked around.

Is Aran specifically wool? I suppose it’s a TYPE of cable knit jumper?

@@MissBudgetBeauty yes, so you get single knit, double knit, baby double knit, Aran knit and many more-these are all types of wool- different thicknesses and textures. Then the actual style you liked was called cable knit. So you have to knit it using cable needles! It’s one of my favourite patterns to knit. Cable knit finishes better with thicker wool hence why Aran wool is mostly used as it’s very thick. Chenille is super thick so it works just as well and is super soft …I think I might “want” this jumper-sadly it’s cheaper to buy a cable knit jumper than make it yourself.

I went to my local primark which is quite a small one and was a bit underwhelmed. They had a lot of puffa jackets but only in sizes xs, s or XL and above. No medium sizes at all! Also hardly any scarves or hats which I love to get this time of year. The was weirdly also a lot of denim mini skirts 🤔 I think the bigger stores have much better selection and range of sizes in stock. I really wish primark would get with the times and go online

They e dabbled with online but I’d imagine that the profit margin just isn’t high enough to keep prices where they are alongside physical stores I agree with the size selection though, they never seem to make the right stock choices

Fab video, can I just ask have you got permission to film in Primark and if you have could you please give me any info on how to get permission. The reason I ask is because I have been told by management that I’m not allowed to film, any info would be really appreciated. ❤️

No, I’ve never had permission and I’ve been asked not to film once or twice (and obviously that’s fine) but they encourage these kinds of videos by sharing them on social so I think you’re fine unless told otherwise If you have a specific manager who doesn’t like it then it’s just bad luck, I’m afraid. They may not want to get in to trouble if someone sees how untidy their stock is 🤣
