One suggestion with the clutch pressure plate, assemble the springs/pressure plate while you have the hub off the mainshaft and with the 10 studs facing up. This makes it MUCH easier to install the 10 springs on the 10 studs, and pull the outer plate with the center as you did rather than the way you show it, Just sayin, 55 + years of professionaly repairing these things on my end. I have a spare hub hanging on one of my tool boards just for this purpose and to insure that the keyway is in the groove all of the way before installing the running hub. I use 100 ft lbs torque on these older motor sprocket shaft nuts and 85 ft lbs on the clutch hub. Much tighter and you will have to fight getting the hub/sprocket off of the tapers.

That's a great idea and I have a spare center hub that I can do that with. Thank you for the advice and thank you for watching.

@@Rapsgarage I also have a friction plate missing the friction material welded to a steel clutch plate, which makes it possible to "lock" the hub to the outer basket. I also have a 1" square bar, 18" or so long welded to another frcition plate missing the friction again. This is how I hold and torque the two nuts on the shafts by sliding it ovver to 10m studs as far as it will go and using a 4X4 block or two under the bar to keep the parts from turning. NO F**kin impact use when tightening up these parts !!!!!!!

Now that you mention it, I’ve seen that before. If you could take a couple pictures of those and send them to my email, I would like to make those tools and then I can show them on my KZbin page. Thanks hdrap_1999@yahoo.com

@@Rapsgarage I've been subscribed for some time. I'm actually going back and rewatching my favorites. Health issues keep me from being in my shop as much as I'd like. Keep posting Rap.
