Prime Cup: Ultra Ball (Round 2, Rentals Only) - Pokemon Stadium

Welcome to my walkthrough series of Pokemon Stadium! In this playthrough, I will cover the gameplay of all the Pokemon Stadium Cups (including Pokemon Stadium R2): Gym Leader Castle, Poke Cup, Prime Cup, Pika Cup, Petit Cup, and the final showdown against Mewtwo: the final boss of this game! Prime Cup (Japanese: ウルトラカップ Ultra Cup) is one of the four Stadium Cups in Pokémon Stadium.
In Pokémon Stadium, the Prime Cup is the only Cup that does not originate from Pokémon Yellow's Colosseum 2. Instead, it is based on the regular Colosseum battles, which have no special limitations. As a result, all Pokémon, including powerful Legendary Pokémon such as Mewtwo, are allowed. There are no level restrictions in the Prime Cup, so all of the opponents will have level 100 Pokémon.
This is the only area in the Pokémon Stadium series where Mew can be used. In Pokémon Stadium, the male Cooltrainer will have a Mew during the final battle of the Prime Cup Master Ball division. Also, Mew will be available as a rental Pokémon for Pokémon Stadium's Round 2 Prime Cup.
In Pokémon Stadium, there are four levels of difficulty: Poké Ball, Great Ball, Ultra Ball, and Master Ball.

-I like the timing of Rhydon’s faint with the announcer -That battle with the lab man was a joy to see -That last battle! Holy crap! First the Gengar used Explosion which was unexpected. Then that Dragonite keeps missing Fire Blast till the last one hits and it was a CRITICAL HIT! Finally the explosion ending I gasped and was like “WHAT?!” and you won somehow, then you showed the rules which made a whole lot of sense. -Wow, this video is amazing

I was genuinely shocked as everyone with that finish. Seems the game itself is just as surprised as we were. Music didn’t even fanfare for that explosion technicality.

That is correct. this videos are showing the results, not the progress. there were a lot of trial and error with a lot of analysis beforehand behind every single of these videos. you have to study heavily the team of your opponents in order to come up with a balanced team with most preparation as possible to deal with every trainer you find along the path.

I like how the game bugs out due to the explosion Finish. There is no "Congratulations, The champion has been decided!" From the announcer, and the after battle jingle is the regular one rather than the one they use when you win against the last opponent x'D

hahaha exactly! Those minor bugs are present on the game. Luckily, they don’t affect the gameplay as a whole.

Pinsir is REALLY good in this CUP, especially against the Gambler and the Lab Man. So is Exeggutor.

@@icefire2104 I guess the AI figured it was gonna lose anyways, so might as well go out with a bang 🤷🏻‍♂I think that the AI was interesting instead of dumb because it provided insight on how the game operates under these conditions and even some bugs got uncovered while we were at it.
