I got this bow in 80 lbs and I'm glad I did because it has the perfect holding weight for me. I'm a tall guy and am using it for 3D and hunting.

This is great holding bow, only thing I would change is add interchangeable grip. I replaced strings on my CT9 after ~10,000 shots and only "issue" I found was some serving wear on yokes (on bushing radius). By design string is so short that there is no chance for peep rotation. On hunting with 39" bow. Because of the center grip technology, top clearance of this bow matches 35" bows from other manufacturers. Same goes for CT5 and CT3, CT5 top clearance is lower that 31" Mathews Vertix and CT3 is lower than 28" Mathews Triax.

@Lucas what is your opinion about the torque tests that 1942 and Prime advertises? Hype? Do you think that it makes a difference down range?
@ArcheryTalkVideo4 жыл бұрын
I haven't done any of the work/research myself, so it's tough for me to answer that. I've never done any torque tuning, so it's not an area I feel very knowledgeable in.

I have the G5 Prime Logic CT9 RH 32" DL @ 70# shooting an Easton FMJ 5mm 340 with 100grain insert (484.4-grain total arrow weight) and I'm seeing consistent speeds of 299fps, 297fps, 287fps, and 302fps). Garmin Xero A1i, QAD MTX Ultra rest, 10" BeeStingers and my release is the TruBall Max Pro Plus 4. I'm 6'6" and 350, so I needed a bow that was long enough without REALLY breaking the bank. (There are bows out there $600+ that work the DL but I wanted to save that money for equipment but still shoot the BEST!) Balanced all the way out until Barry (Newbury Archery) put the Sherpa Quiver on. Oh, and my arrows are burying all the way to the sleeve in my Mo' Foam target! ***By the way, the ONLY case that fits is the Pelican V730 or 800 rifles cases. That's it! Question: I'm thinking of moving to feather vanes and 100-grain Montec CS broadheads. (I plan on hunting in MA (home), ME, VA, KS, and SD this year.) Black Bear, Elk, Moose, Mule Deer, Pronghorn, Bison, and Boar. Some Whitetail and turkey (MA) but not much. Your thoughts?

My CT9 fits in my Legend Double Two 44 case. As for vanes, I’m far from an expert. I’ve shot deer with feathers out of a compound bow with no issues. I like how they fly, but they don’t hold up very well.

Do u have the same drawlengh on the suprafocus than on the ct9?
@HomeCinemaJunkie5 жыл бұрын
Anyone know if draw weight adjustment will affect the draw length on this bow? I'm planning on starting on about 50-52# and work my way up.
@ChrisP-yu6rm5 жыл бұрын
@ArcheryTalk how is the Draw Lenght in comparison to other bow brands? I have heard that it is a litte bit longer on the Prime bows, so that you need 30 or 30.5 inch on a prime if you are shooting 29,5 inch on an elite, for example. Is that true?
@ObelixCMM5 жыл бұрын
DL is on the money, but if you want more holding weight go with 1/2" longer cam. I got 31" cams set at 30.75" and ~70% letoff.
@ArcheryTalkVideo5 жыл бұрын
My 29.5 cams are set exactly at 29.5, but you can move stops to make adjustments for longer and shorter. At 29.5 my let off is 78-80%

Hey Lucas can you help us out? On Archery Talk it is showing we have 2 unread notifications. Several people posted this in Gen section and it got moved to AT frequent questions, however no one has addressed it. Can you give us an update? Thanks

I'm getting the same issue. I've had one unread notification for a while now. Same thing happened to me a few years ago. I'll ask around.

Killed my first elk with this bow. You can definitely hunt with it. :)
