These comparisons are kind of a moot point. Can't compare players of different periods. Sure thing is this: No Pele, no Messi. BUT at the same time, if Messi had a time machine and went back to Pele's time , he could score like 3.000 goals EASILY. He would score 5 goals minimum every game. If Pele had a time machine and travelled in this day and age, he wouldn't be able to adjust at least for a couple of years, and then he would just maybe have some average numbers..
