Synopsis: Detective Chief Inspector Jane Tennison (Dame Helen Mirren) now deals with a racially-charged murder. The long-dead body of a young black woman is discovered in a district recently convulsed by police brutality and which now is in the midst of a highly-charged political campaign. Her investigation is hampered by the hostility of the local populace, and the clumsy methods of some of her subordinates and irresponsible journalists make things worse. Can she solve the case before a race riot breaks out? Her job is further complicated when a former lover is assigned to her command as a subordinate.

I have not watched TV in the UK for over 20 years due to the TV licence Gestapo, so I missed watching this series on TV. I have discovered these now on youtube - thanks. Helen Mirren was raised to Dame Commander of the British Empire (DBE) not long ago, and truly deserves this honour. Alas two many people in the UK receive honours that are not deserved. For example making donations to political parties. Not so Dame Helen, a magnificent actor.

Okay yeah that CPR was done terribly🙈 I've watched Law & Order SVU a 100000 times, and 911 everytime I watch a crime or investigative series I check how they do the CPR and well I was dissapointed a bit, coz everything else was so well done and acted.
