That was absolutely an incredible haul and score. I go nuts and love paper stuff and that was unbelievable. Hard work pays off big time. I'm sorry about Smokey. That's a tough loss. She was (is) a beautiful girl and great story on how you found her.

I LOVE IT!!! That was nice that sale! I have been so busy so sorry I was gone a couple days but that last room you were i was like this sale I went to in PT Pleasant today. The floor cover with stuff mold in the air and all. I was looking and looking and found a couple things then I saw this rusted cabinet behind stacks of wood and I moved everything to get at it and open it. The flood gates opened! All 78 and 45n records in there I took most of them like 300. Then it was just one find after another all from the 30s 40s 50s, Papers, electronics just unbelievable! I loaded my truck. The cost 40 dollars!!! I get home and start the comps on the records. 50 dollar records one after the other quite a few around a hundred one at 350 and one at 491.. I get such a thrill from this stuff! The cartoon stuff should sell decent. I have non known character cartoon single sheets from the thirties and get good money for them. Some days are a hit some not and that is the thrill!

Wow, wow, wow! I love these kind of estate sales, but unfortunately if I go with my mom or my hubby, they don't want to stick around. I will now look for many of the things you showed like the old plant food containers, and stuff inside manila folders because owners probably do that when they want to keep their stuff safe from the elements. You are so sweet to keep filming with one hand while attempting to open the folders with your other hand! Thanks so much; these are my favorite videos from you :)

Thrifty Esme thanks Esme. Yeah, to do this right, you pretty much need to have family understand that you may be there for hours and to take separate cars. I've come across some old hats, electronics and even books or magazines that have an old musty smell from being stored in a basement for years. How do you clean the hats or try to remove that smell with out damaging the item, or do you just disclose that the items has a musty odor to it? Great findes!

Thanks! Depending on the item, you can put it in the dryer with a dryer sheet that has a scent to it and that will sometimes help. Airing it out also can help combined with spraying some Febreeze on it but being careful not to overdo it. In fact, sometimes it’s better just to spray a paper towel with him about you and Pat the hat down being careful not to stain it.

OMG this is driving me insane with the one handed digging. Why don’t you get a GoPro!? The items you find are so cool but why in gods name would you choose to pick with one hand. Is this against your constitution like with the IKEA bags?

You need to learn to chill out lol. I will never use a GoPro because they look ridiculous, estate sale dealers will not allow it, it makes other ppl in close quarters uncomfortable, I can’t control the camera shot as well, and because I don’t like the fish lens view that a GoPro gives. I’m very comfortable with how I film and source.
