Thank you for the video. I ordered the upgraded board on Monday, received it wed. Excellent customer service from primeweld. I installed mine today. Went ok especially considering I did it on a lift table while be temporarily handicapped. Used a wheelchair to sit in and managed to wrestle the machine around enough to install the board. Looking forward to more videos. 18:18

@@MyLilMule I also have the 225x tig, excellent machine for the money . I also have a razor weld 45 plasma, which if I didn't have I would buy the primeweld 60 plasma cutter . I have been very impressed by primeweld.

I like the simpler synergic mode for 99% of the welding I do. Just set the wire speed, and let the voltage land where it needs to based in wire size and process. But it's nice to have the full manual mode for the times I need it.

They need to hear from us customers. Maybe not possible in the current edition of the 180. Maybe the next iteration will have something like that.

Prime Weld has good consumer service. Bought the 180 and the Cut 50 but wanted to up the amps to over 200 and the duty cycle, from 30% to 60 % that offers a Synergic function and have a spool gun option , so have been considering Hynade brand.

I'm told it will, but you need a gas mix of greater than 80% Argon. I've thought about getting some 90/10 just for fun. But the voltage and wire feed speeds suggest it will do it. Might be near the upper limit of the machine. I think you need 24-28 volts and around 200 amps, IIRC from welding school.

Try 27 volts and 400 wfs for spray transfer with solid wire.

GReat Greg, I don't mean to tell you what to do but your wire extention [stoick out] is too long...try for 1/4 -3/8 " max tip to work.

You’re not wrong. The nozzle on this gun is pretty big. Plus trying to make sure the camera picks up something for the yootoobs.

@@AWDJRforKZbin It is a really nice machine. Mind you, I haven't used a lot of machines, just a couple Hobarts and a smattering of the red ones, big and small. But both my TIG and MIG machines from PrimeWeld have never failed to impress me.
