Primitive Camping at the Beaver Bogs | 24 hours in a new york state forest

howdy folks!
This week we're camping! One of my favorite spots I call the beaver bogs... We'll set up in a nice little secluded campsite off a little road that leads to two bogs, full of lily pads, bull frogs, and beavers! Watch me set up a new tent and some camp furniture, walk around the bogs with me, and make some campfire coffee.

Just subscribed…we love to watch camping …I like that rake I have one just like it that I carry camping with me they come in handy..I like the lake looks like they would be a lot of bass in it with all those lily pads

Nice video! That's some heavy greenery, what did you do to deal with the mosquitoes?

The skeeters actually weren't too bad. Keeping the fire going and throwing leaves on every now and then kept them away, but I also use "Ranger Ready" tick & mosquito repellent as well as random citronella based products - all which work well for me. thanks for the comment!

Couldn't have been too far from your vehicle that's alot of gear to haul

@@laurenweisse9858 it was maybe 1/4 mile or so walk from where I could park... I used a collapsible wagon and made a few trips. Definitely not minimalist backpacking but still simple and primitive
