Ron and Sarah know you the best! The chunky logs will keep your days filled with your orders for projects and hearth memories! We Love our Zionsville, PA Morgan auctioneer auctions for filling our antique booths and bidding at our favorite Amish charity auctions in Reedsville, PA for handmade quilts and antique rough and tumble farm machinery- You introduced us to Meghan when you featured her Farmhouse Supply shop- we made a “pilgrimage” to her store in Linesville last summer and asked her the same question 😊

Thank you for your comments and following along. Auctions can be a great place for antique finds. We love your end of the state as well. Yes, Ron and Sara do know us and we are so grateful for their generosity!

To strip paint, I use a heat gun and a putty knife. The gray would go if it were mine. I love the wood look. Great find!

I would absolutely leave the dry sink the way it is....a beautiful piece. As far as where I go to find antiques.....if I'm shopping for primitives (and I usually am) my main source is other antique shops (and not ALL of them because some only have stuff)....and the reason is because that's about the best chance of finding primitive pieces. I was an antique dealer for about 15 years and sold primitives and you could find pieces then, but we retired from the business about 7 years ago and wow have things changed. Authentic primitives are getting so hard to find (even in this area where they were always plentiful). You can still find some things once in awhile at outdoor flea markets but it's a challenge. Antique shows, exclusive prim antique stores, and other antique stores that have prim dealers is my go to....and once in awhile online or a good auction.

I got the giggles when you said you loved it (the dry sink) more than Dave. Then I realized you appreciated it more than Dave liked it. And Chuckie for chuck roast got me tickled all over again. Thank you- I really needed a smile 😊 Love the gray on the dry sink. All part of the story. I cannot imagine boards as wide as those on any of today’s pieces. That dry sink is a treasure! What lucky friends you have! Everything looked so delicious and your table was perfect. We have friends who gift us with wood for our wood furnace. Aren’t we blessed?! Do you remember that in the older Country Living Magazine there was always an article called Simple Country Pleasures? ( I hope I remember it correctly) Wish I could remember the gal who wrote those. Your videos remind me so much of those articles.

I love your dry sink! Your chicken tablecloth is so cute! The dry sink reminds me of one my Mom had in her kitchen between her stove and refrigerator. She had a replica of a black coal stove made into a lamp which she kept on the dry sink. After she was done in the kitchen for the evening she always lit that lamp to make it cozy. brings back so many wonderful memories of home! Blessings.

What an adorable theme for your get together. I love the little carts and how fun to use for serving. Thank you for the recipe. i used to cook rhubarb down to top ice cream n pudding and make jam. Can you imagine having such wide wood - makes your beautiful dry sink all the more special . Have fun making your decision on what to do. Oh that rack Dave made is a Beauty!!!

I’m not sure if you have a larger coffee grinder. You could put that on the side of the dry sink… everything else is absolutely lovely 🥰 I love to go thrifting ❤you can find some really nice things for a lot cheaper than buying new or some antique shops. I do like to do that too but, I think it’s the thrill of the hunt 😂lol I’m sure the dry sink will be absolutely beautiful when you get it all finished. Have a wonderful day and weekend ahead… 🥰🌷

How fun with the country chicken theme for a spring meal shared with friends❤. Ohhhh that dry sink❤❤, be still my heart so much old worn character to it, love it. I’d live with it for awhile but lean toward leaving it as it is. I’m so glad I’m not the only one always changing things around😂. I’m 65 and have thrifted my entire adult life. Everything in our home is from thrifting!

I’m 60! I love to thrift too! Do you have any fake food? I could just see a cherry pie sitting on the side of the dry sink. Beautiful piece. I wish the antiques could tell stories, I bet it has a few! Or an old bucket of lavender would be beautiful.

we love to see how things were made..planed on one side of the boards..beautiful cutouts..maybe an old waterpump on the top..can that gray be dry scraped? we have a few favorite olaces here in Ohio and Indiana. last year we bought the bottom half of a sideboard at a garage sale for $60 ..to tell you how early it is..the back has chamferred panels and the drawer pulls are sniped on the inside..my hubby couldnt get it in the truck quick enough lol...becca m

We could do that but it looks lower than what it is because of the high ceilings. It really is a heavy cupboard so I have to think about it twice on moving it. It was quite the task putting it up, lol!
