PRIMITIVE SKILLS; Build Stone House (CABIN) wall plastering
Light is very necessary for the house, my generator often breaks down, I repaired it and will use it to light the house, and especially I will use it to illuminate when I work. Inside, I covered the walls with mortar, so that it covers the holes in the stone joints, this is good for soundproofing and it makes it warm in winter, thank you for being here! Have fun watching the video ^-^

In Vietnam! Lunar New Year (also known as Tet Ca, Tet Ta, Lunar New Year, Traditional Tet or simply Tet) is the most important and meaningful holiday at the beginning of the lunar year in Vietnam. Vietnam's Lunar New Year is calculated according to the lunar calendar, later than the New Year (or Western New Year, European region). The annual Lunar New Year usually lasts about 7-8 days at the end of the old year and the first 7 days of the new year (December 23 to January 7). For me and Vietnamese people, Lunar New Year is not only a transition period between the old year and the new lunar year, but it also contains many spiritual and cultural meanings... According to Eastern concepts, This is the time when heaven and earth are in harmony and people become close to the gods. The ancient Lunar New Year was an opportunity for farmers to express their respect to gods such as the Earth God, the Rain God, the Thunder God, the Water God, the Sun God,... and pray for a year of good weather and good weather. abundant crops. Besides, this is also considered a "renew" day, a day where people can hope for a peaceful, prosperous, and favorable new year throughout the year and put aside all the unlucky things in the old year. Therefore, on Tet holiday, every house is busy cleaning, shopping, and decorating the house beautifully. The old year has passed, the new year 2024 has arrived! I want to give my best and most sincere wishes to you, your family, grandparents, parents - the people you love the most. Wishing you good health, all the best and full of joy. Happy New Year 2024! HAPPY NEW YEAR 2024

Good time of day. I want to warn you about the wiring. It is better to simply fix the lamp with a thread, avoid twisting the wiring. in such places, as a rule, strong induction begins, which can lead to a fire. All your viewers would not like to know that because of such a mistake you are once again homeless.

Can't do lime coat until it's hot and dry enough, otherwise too much moisture gets trapped in and causes more mildew / damp than it prevents, especially if he's only doing the inside, which is a mistake.

I have a question, Duong. (You do not have to answer it here, just give it some thought.) Have you considered creating a cement & stone platform for the electric generator trough, rather than wooden logs? It will take a lot of work, because you will have to dig a foundation so the pillars won't slip down the hill. And some parts should remain wooden for ease of adjusting positions, but cement and stone would last a lot longer, like how a tile roof will last longer, once you can build it and replace the wooden roof. I also recomment painting the interior of your home with lime whitewash to make it whiter and brighter, easier to see. You could also make paint out of slaked lime and charcoal for black, lime and iron oxide for orange, and other crushed minerals for other colors, then invite your daughters and wife to do a little painting on certain areas, so you will always have a little piece of them in your farm house. As for the outside, I also like the unplastered stone look on the outside, but agree with a smooth inside. The best of both worlds!

To make proper Roman concrete, you also need volcanic ash or pot ash. Since volcanic ash is hard to come by, cement factories use pot ash. The ratio is one part of each, sand, lime and ash. Roman concrete is still going strong after over 2000 years for a reason.

Modern concrete is significantly stronger than roman concrete because the limestone is cooked more, making it very hard but very difficult to grind up without modern machinery. The reason Roman concrete lasts so long is that hydrated pockets of lime within it give it self-healing properties.

If you had made a board to hold mortar on with a handle underneath to hold it, you could have pushed the mortar onto the rock wall with your flat stick tool. This would have been a better chinking method so you wouldn’t waste so much mortar on the floor and gotten better coverage. I agree that the rock wall should have been water splashed first to help the mortar stick in place better. It did seem a bit dry. That said, I hope you plan on adding another layer of mortar to the wall to smooth it out more. It would be ok to let some of the rocks show through. That would like pleasing to the eye. But by adding another layer and really smoothing the mortar, it would give the inside more of a finished look. And yes, you could also white wash it to brighten the inside to get more effective use of your light.. As for the wiring for your light, I also fear that wrapping that wire around the wood like you did is very dangerous and could cause a fire. You would be better off to cut the wire to just the length needed. Use nails in the wood to hang the wire on out to where you want the light to be.

Do not listen to people who say wetting the surface before applying the concrete gives stronger bond. It doesn't. It creates a weaker bond which is called water bond. Water takes up space, and doesn't allow cement to attach. When the water evaporates, you'll have voids. You did it the right way. Do not wet the stones or bricks when mortaring. Use as little as possible water in making the concrete. Rocking the stone or brick back and forth on the mortar, gives the best adhesion.

Duong, I have seen other people suggest this, but a permanent stone structure for the generator would prevent it from rotting again. I'm glad your not going to plaster the outside of the house, you will take the character of the house away if you did. Love watching your work, try not to do too much as I don't want to see you hurt your back again, take care and be healthy❤❤

you should attempt a lime whitewash on the interiors to help with the lighting. If you dont mix sand in, it will still cure, but will retain the bright color.

Duong, you could also try making clay or cement pipes by shaping it around bamboo pipes and then burning the wood away when it is dry. You could use that for where the pond drains to get greater pressure for the generator? I also really think you should invest in a battery or other power storage device. This would allow you to store electricity and not need to drain the pond when you want the lights on in the kitchen.
