Primitive Skills

Күн бұрын

Hello everyone, my name is Duong.
I am 32 years old.
I live in a poor mountainous area of Vietnam.
From a young age, I had to work hard to help my parents.
Difficult life is always around, I work and learn everything from my grandparents and the old people in the village.
Gradually, I mastered the skills.
5 years ago, I decided to live the challenge.
Determined to learn about the primitive way of life, I chose to live in the wilderness, alone.
Where there's no technology and forcing yourself to pass, it feels great!
How about you? Your life is definitely different from mine.
Have fun watching the video!

@Călin It looked to me like there was a Queen already. It got onto his shirt and the other bees swarmed around it. I think that is why he put his shirt into the hive, to get the queen and a foundation colony settled in there.

I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR A BEEHIVE HOUSE FOR MONTHS and today it's finally paid off!!! I'm so excited for you, bees are so beneficial to a farm! I can't wait for you to harvest honey and be able to finally use it in your meals! Honey in your tea! Honey in your food! Plus, the wax that bees make can also be utilized to make candles, make soap, make creams, or wax your tools! You can use wax on your ropes! The bees will also pollinate your plants, allowing for larger harvests of vegetables, fruits and nuts! So excited for you! By the way... You should make some bread! Rice flour (ground rice = ground flour) + chicken eggs + clean water = dough. Make some rice bread, or maybe some rice flour pastries!

Hello Duong. Happy 2023. As a beekeeper that I was in my youth, I am going to give you some advice for the next time: You have to put some cross-shaped sticks inside the trunk that you used as a bee house so that they can hold the wax combs so that they deposit the honey they collect, divide the trunk into three heights and between each height you put two crossheads (make four holes in the shape of a cross + or X and put some bamboo sticks or any wood with a diameter of 2cm. And so the bees can hold the wax combs more securely. To call the swarms you prepare a bee house like the one you use in the video and prepare a paste with honey, sweet fruit juice and paint the inside of the log with that and at the time the bees leave their hives in swarms, which It is usually in the spring and early summer, you leave it in a place and it gets the sun with some shade and some swarms limp. I took many like that Greetings. Más información sobre este texto de origenPara obtener más información sobre la traducción, se necesita el texto de origen Enviar comentarios Paneles laterales

By the way, you can use fish bones to make soup! Soup is great in the winter when it's cold, so don't be afraid to make some! Also, you could catch maybe 5-10 small fish and dry/smoke them over your fire. If you dry them this way, you can save them for snacks :) But, you need to make some salt, so that you can cure your fish before you do this! I hope to see you make salt and oil soon!

21:30 I'm almost surprised that you didn't build a beehive box before tackling the bees, to make sure that even if they fell they would land in or near a bee box. Having both honey and beeswax would definitely benefit your homestead. You could further weatherproof your home with a mixture of beeswax and tree resin painted onto the roof tiles for example. 38:23 Any part of the fish that you don't eat you can process further. Bones can be dried and ground down and fed to either the chickens for extra calcium or back to the fish for the same. Any remaining fish meat can be dried and fed back to the fish or the chickens as fishmeal. Then you don't have any waste. 👍
@DianeGraft
@DianeGraft Жыл бұрын
And, any remaining waste, like the skin and innards, can be buried in the garden as fertilizer.
@MizuMing
@MizuMing Жыл бұрын
@@DianeGraft You can eat the skin, it's often referred to as crackling. However, yes the innards can be used in the garden or for feed for the animals, there are many uses for all parts of the fish. Tree fertilizer would also work too aside from In the garden or for the animals.
@BillySugger1965

Leftovers from the fish can be boiled down to separate oil which is a useful commodity. The remains after that can indeed be ground into food for fish and chickens. Nothing need be wasted.

also if you want to keep the bees, make sure their new home is in a dry area to avoid rot... and away from smoke... where you have it now is ok i think... and as for the fish, to sell you'd have to make sure it doesn't go bad during the travel... oh and maybe look into making a smaller knife that's easier for processing the fish that you do want to eat...

I remind you - leave large fish bones after eating. Then you'll make bone glue out of them. You only want clean, washed bones, no skin or scales. Then you crush them a little and cook for a long time, until they become a homogeneous thick mass. This glue has a very long shelf life if mixed with water. Until it dries, it will not polymerize. Glue made from pure fish bones is very strong.

Perhaps you might plant a some flower for the bees. But Im sure they know how to collect a food from plants. If you bring up your whole family there Im sure they will be much healthier because you got a very good quality enviroment, food and more. Dont forget to make a project about the bees. I don’t know if it possible for you to forge a treble hook. It is 3 hooks connected together on the hook shafts. You might make a dough using the rice flour. Make it sticky and form it into a ball that you form around a treble hook. You could chop banana leaves very fine and mix in the dough. Dough balls are good bait for carp. So is s bunch of earthworms threaded on a hook.
