Damn, love the all watercooled (you misse the nvme watercooled and you missed your powersupply to be watercooled :p I know one excist). Does your 420 manage 2 cards, ram, cpu and vrm? FYI I'm sure you are aware, the effect of the primochill is amazing but it goes away with time... I was not aware of that when I used it for my build.
@karon_pcmr3 жыл бұрын
Yeah Primochill promised WAY more than what they delivered. They promised fluid that could be used 24/7 for months when the pre orders went live and then after shipping they changed the product page to say it can only be used a few hours a day or it breaks down. I actually made a fraud case against primochill with my bank and got my money back because Primochill saw me at fault for using the fluid for too many hours. I actually modified a EK monarch RAM block to fit over the nvme SSD so that it only cools the controller and it worked great, the temps of the SSD dropped by over 50°C. With my current build I just got two mini waterblocks for the nvme controllers and used adhesive thermal pads to glue them on^^

OK, I've been going over and over that loop and getting more confused. I see a triple split there before the monoblock??? I see two spirals around the reservoir but only one coming out, and it looks like flow reverses at one point?! Do you have any pics or vids that explain the plumbing?
@Knyght1006 жыл бұрын
From the pump tube spirals up around the res, goes into the rad, comes out the rad, splits into a parallel flow for the ram, meets back together to continue a single flow into the monoblock, comes out of the monoblock, into the gpus, then finally back behind the res to wherever the inlet is.
@williscooper77506 жыл бұрын
almost. there are actually 2 pipes wrapped around the rez. The one leaving the GPUs spirals down back into the inlet side of the pump for the res then is pumped from the res, spiraling up, to the rad. The rest is as he described. Although I would have reversed the flow not allowing the extra heat from the RAM and CPUs to build up then have the dual GPUs on the last leg getting the hottest possible liquid to cool it. Everything Ive seen has it hit the GPUs first (if not on separate loops) then into the CPU/RAM especially dual GPU rigs.
@skater151536 жыл бұрын
The order doesn't matter. The liquid will equalize out so this is fine in terms of temps. The main deciding factor will be fan speed and how much surface area you have in rads.
@mcgman80585 жыл бұрын
@@williscooper7750 tbh the flow moves so quickly it does not matter. I have dual 2080tis and 3 temp sensors in my loop. I had concerns just like you are thinking. Especially that these new gpus are 350 watts each. I quickly found out that my temp sensors before gpus. After gpus before rad, then after cpu and rad before res/pump are all IDENTICAL. That is with a d5 pump running at 50% speed. So I do now assume order of high wattage components does not matter at all. What is most important is radiator capacity and fan speed/power. with a high wattage system you come to find out very quickly that many so called "high static pressure" fans suck. Finding the right fans is really important. At the moment I'm in the middle of testing fans from ek and corsair because eks standard vardar "2k rpm" fans are not that great. Going to be switching to their 3k rpm versions. And regarding corsair their rgb version of the ml fans are actually the worst ones. The expensive all black non led are the most powerful ones. Why corsair would constantly upgrade to less powerful fans and integrate rgb makes very little sense to me.
@williscooper77505 жыл бұрын
@@mcgman8058 Cause RGB adds horsepowers bra! lol but nice to hear otherwise. I personally find the Corsair black and grey non LED work great in my set up as well

8 hours is a long time also why exactly do you have to after 8 hours whats supposed to happen to it

What speed do you have your pump on?
@manvillercwingchun6 жыл бұрын
Robert Garcia Rodriguez I'm not running a open loop my question is what's supposed to happen to the system if you run it past the 8 hours
@robrod77156 жыл бұрын
Primochill says that the VUE will break down and it HAS to rest, same with the pump speed, it will break down with to high speed. the pump should run at the slowest. didnt you know this? just wondering.
@A1Plooplord6 жыл бұрын
The VUE is amazing as it is, and the formulation of it had to come with drawbacks. If you can afford a rig like this you likely don't have time to sit around for 8 hours straight because of work. If you don't have to work to get money, you can afford to replace it every other month as recommended. Low pump speed is good anyway for acoustics and longevity, and if your pump can't push enough fluid around fast enough on low you can always opt for adding another pump or having two loops in your rig. Liquid cooling and exotic liquids are part of the whole enthusiast scene where money or value isn't such a big priority so you might be barking up the wrong tree. I don't think it was stupid of them to compromise on features that only a niche audience will want. I can't think of a good reason why you'd need a good-looking rig to be running for 8+ hours unless you're sharing it with someone doing night shifts or something else. Servers and AI research don't need liquid (or at least pretty liquid). Sitting in front of a PC for more than 8 hours straight isn't good for you, and few rendering tasks take longer than that. I literally cannot think of why you'd be mad that the system has to take a small rest after 8 hours.

if it clogges then clean it. Any fluid will leave some build-up behind unless you use destilled water.
