Thanks for the replies buddies.ask again how many months it takes I reach there when I choose PEI from the day I process my documents?

Hi Helen, it's very difficult to give any accurate processing times at the minute, everything has been severely delayed the last few years due to covid. Theoretically, applications to the PEI PNP take between 2 and 5 weeks to be processed. Then the Federal government takes up to 6-8 months to complete the processing. But don't be surprised if it takes longer than that right now. Hope that helps!

We are in the middle of a housing crisis in PEI. Housing is not affordable. Our health care system is not in a good place. Most islander will not have a family doctor. And emergency rooms are all running at max capacity. Please read our news before making any big decisions. We are not in a good place, and unfortunately it seems our government continues to take advantage of foreign workers especially in the labour sectors. Its all just a mess here really.

Sorry to hear that - it seems like housing is an issue across Canada right now. We're in BC and the market is on fire! Which isn't great for us as we look to buy a property...

Yes, as a recent transplant from BC, I can confirm that, "It's all just a mess here really" I have yet to encounter anything on PEI that justified the sacrifices made to come here, and everything that Tillie says is 100% accurate. We'll be leaving PEI in a few weeks, and have no intention of ever returning, as we consider the move to PEI to be one of the biggest blunders of our lives.

Sir/madam is there any fees or proof of funds of this program?
@canadatoptobottom
@canadatoptobottom 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Helen, there is no specific proof of funds requirement for PEI, but to immigrate through any of the PEI PNP programs, they require that you have "sufficient financial resources to pay all immigration costs (including travel expenses) for you and your family to be able to establish in PEI" Hope that helps!

Hi! Do you mean to be eligible for one of the PEI Express Entry streams? In that case you need at least 67 points out of 100 for the initial eligibility

@@canadatoptobottom My town people are looking for work. They would like to stay for as long as the work permit would allow. But for the relocation to be cost effective they would like to stay a minimum of 2 years.

@@peacefulwell Hi, the best advice we can give is to explore the possibilities for provinces which have a stream for low skilled workers. Finding a job whilst outside Canada is quite difficult, and the majority of provincial nominee programs require a job offer, or skilled workers, but there are some PNPs which have a specific stream for low skilled workers where the occupations are in demand. Each province has different requirements, and different occupations which are in demand. We have a playlist for each of the provincial nominee programs so feel free to check them out.

I’m Canadian Citizen I’ve been there ! Please don’t move to Canada . Tax are high , housing crisis , even within your state after getting a degree it’s hardly to get a job within your field . Job discrimination , Health care also in depressions a lot Doctors and professionals skills are moving out of Canada . Half of my families was born in Canada they end up moving out of Canada . Weather are extremely cold long years deadly frozen , beach are cold can’t swim even swim that much in summer . Summer are extremely hot and humid. Expensive housing and minorities are suffering and struggle to make a daily living etc….. I’m in USA the best country happily living lifestyle . Canada government are easing on immigration because No one wanted to live there’s after few years most of my friends and relatives are finding a way to choose other part of the world to live . Canada it’s a huge territories but population it’s only worth one State of Texas (USA) it meant that’s an empty country people are moving out once you live there’s in Canada after certain time most people are getting tired of the system socialism half communist that’s why the Government need more population to filled the empty spot and with minimal salary . Even with degrees a lots of my friends as myself are moving out from Canada . No thank you ! 🤒😔

Good for you for speaking truthfully about PEI in particular, and Canada in general. ALL of my immigrant friends chose to return to their countries of origin within the last five years, citing the hyper-inflated real estate, low wages, lack of opportunities, taxes, crime, awful government, and consistently poor weather as the motivation. PEI is quite an awful place to inhabit. There are no jobs here, the cost of living is higher than in BC, access to health care is practically non existent, and the only way they can maintain the population is by mass importing people from abroad who don't know the pitfalls of living here.

@@canadatoptobottom Yes, we lived in Roberts Creek before moving to PEI, and the average cost for groceries in Sechelt/Gibsons is far less than in Charlottetown. On top of this, the selection of goods is meagre (along with the quality) relative to BC as well. Alcohol follows an identical pattern, and the selection is far greater in an independent liquor store in Sechelt than it is in the signature PEI Liquor Control Commission store in Charlottetown. PEI ranks fourth highest in the country in terms of tax rates (BC is third lowest). If you live rurally, there isn't a significant financial advantage to buying real estate in PEI vs. buying similarly in BC. Most of the housing inventory on PEI is in a state of dilapidation so acute that it would be condemned if it was in BC. Most housing draws water from a well, and septic systems are the norm. Most housing has substandard/dangerous wiring, antiquated plumbing, roof issues, etc.
