I desperately want them to make one small update to the Empire. I wish they would make the Reinforcement army you send to help people, a unit like the Cathay Caravan. Let it be a unit, with a level-able general and all it's for is using them to help out during these reinforcement battles. It would make me care so much more about actually fighting the battles to make sure my units don't die, instead of basically just being something you auto-resolve as long as it says any type of Victory.

@@sashagrey2984 I think this is not a constructive position. The CA did in fact implement a lot of the proposals from the community in their free updates. Even the minor settlement battles were something the community requested many times, as were naval battles instead of autoresolving. Some proposals were unrealistic, for example people were mad that the CA didn't make actual naval battles involving ships, again accusing them of laziness. However, in that particular case, the reason was that the ship naval battles were very unpopular in the Total War games which actually had them, with most people either ignoring or autoresolving them. In TWW, making ships for every race (and you would need several ships for each single faction for them not to be extremely boring, as well as all the mechanics, lord skills, research, balance etc) would be A LOT of work for very little actual benefit. In many campaigns, you will probably never have to fight on water at all. It is very possible that it would be a similar situation to the minor settlement battles: they were a crazy amount of work, making hundreds of battle maps (and TWW3 battle maps are quite detailed) only to be criticized later. In TWW3, for example, the CA did not only created a ton of minor settlement battles, but also remade every single walled town battle. I can promise you it was hundreds if not thousands of hours of work. Some requested additions took a long time to implement but eventually all found it's way into the game. For example, Empire, Ork, Undead and Beastmen players all complained for a few years that their favorite factions are outdated. Then, eventually, all of them were reworked quite massively, with a lot of nice additions and changes. Beastmen used to be quite terrible, now they are interesting to play. The current faction which is about to be reworked is the WoC. They used to be one of the worst factions of TWW, but with the newest rework even I, who doesn't even like Chaos that much, want to try them out. Empire will get a new DLC sooner or later, and it will be combined with a glorious rework and a bunch of new features.

I'd love a mechanic that let the different provinces retain their colors and banners even after having confederate with the empire. And also a system for improving your state troops. You see for exemple in the book of heraldry and uniform of the empire many halberdier with shields and heavier armor. It would be a good way to make the state troops keep up with the enemy.

And you have special shields that you can use with halberds (it's attached to te forearm in order to have the second hand free and so being able to wield the halberd). It has also been shown in some official pictures of warhammer (go check the emblems and heraldry of the empire book).

The Empire needs a scrap mechanic like the Orks to boost it's weak melee line. On TT, the detachment system give them the flexibility to survive but that's not available in TW. If we copy the Ork mechanic and spend prestige as well a tech unlock to make such upgrade available to individual units, it might help boost them in this new hostile environment.

as much as chaos is alot of the focus for warhammer 3, the empire and Franz always have a special feeling for me. He was the first longer campain i played and feels most relatable to more historical total war along with bretonnia

I think you would call that an Ossuary. Basically, people in cramped conditions (like a fortress or castle) would only be buried for a certain amount of time before being transplanted into the building. It saved on space.

Honestly i feel like the empire factions might have the best mechanics. Obviously haven´t played volkmars new campaign yet. But the "summon the elector counts" mechanic that Karl has is great. Wulfharts mechanics are really awsome to, really gets you feeling like you´re off plundering for the empire and getting rewarded for being a good dog and doing a lot. Love both those campaign. Theres a reason i´ve done the "unite humanity" campaigns twice (that being where my goal is to take all the land where human factions are located) in the second game as karl franz. Not to mention it always is fun playing the humans in fantasy i think, nothing is more badass then a normal state trooper standing and fighting against monsters, vampires and literal gods to protect their home.

Minor settlements look amazing, but hopefully they do more than 1 settlement per faction, i get that its a ton of work, but variety is the spice of life.

I fear the the Imperial Authority mechanic is going to make the Empire nearly unplayable until they get an overhaul. Having all of those new factions in the Empires borders on top of the previous factions plus Norsca being Norsca means basically all of the Electors North of Altdorf stand zero chance of surviving past like turn 30 and you, the Player are going to get unfairly punished for something you simply have no control over or anyway in preventing. Pretty easy to end up in very negative Authority levels

13:20 Mausoleum is the word you searched for. 36:40 shudder... attacking them in WH2 was a pain already. to the point i rather sent a crapstack with a good mage and let them siege and forget them until its done after 12 rounds or lure the garrison out for an open field battle. now sieging until the garrison starved to death is a must, because casualties would be just too high on the attack.

don't forget to use alt (or ctrl i forget) to aim the mortars into the enemies back lines as selecting the enemy unit makes the mortar fire at the front lines hitting your own troops more often than not.

Also, whilst the Imperial Fort map still looks and functions nominally the same, it does feel to me like it's been given a bit of an aesthetic polish, along with of course the buildable towers. All in all, this is looking pretty good!

Thank you for the episode. Empire will continue to be boring if you can't play as Boris Todbringer. There is a limit to how many times you can play as the same Empire legendary lords, and if they add knights on foot or expand the different orders it could be better. I don't want these units to be added on Immortal Empires launch but some new life is needed for the game 1 factions. The few things added in game 2 are nice but the older factions seem boring if you played them in the other games.
