Professor, do you remember the Sandringham summit when they all got around a table to sort things out? After the ultimatum, Harry had only gotten into the car to leave and the institution created and released a fictitious statement and signed Harry's name to it WITHOUT his consent. How does Harry then trust that another such meeting would become an honorable one? Harry was in the country a couple months ago & his father was 2 miles away at a garden party, too busy to make time to see him. Harry, the son who cared enough to fly 5000 miles upon hearing that his father had cancer. You yourself seem to have more humility regarding mending the rift within the BRF than Charles or William have. Imho, it is not realistic to say 'leave the past behind, let's move forward'. Behold what is currently happening. Surely you know that there's no monetary inducement that would bring the Sussexes back into the fold. The 50/50 offer made at Sandringham by Harry was one he was happy to offer WITHOUT financial compensation. What's separated the Sussexes from their U.K. relatives are matters of the heart and of the spirit. An absence of LOVE and genuine concern for their mental health and physical well-being. In the 5 years of the Sussexes rebuilding healthy lives in America, the sentiment of the BRF has lacked the humility to change. So is the nature of those who normalize ABUSE. Be reasonable. Hate and jealousy are powerful emotions. Then there’s the ever present media problem. When there is generational trauma caused by events in the past, an apology does help. It’s an acknowledgment that there were wrongs and a show of a desire to move into the future together respectfully.

An apology won’t change anything but it did make a difference here in Australia. The Aboriginal people said it helped to hear an apology and did go a long way towards healing families affected by the stolen generation. Many of them said it helped. Unfortunately the Voice to Parliament has done damage. They had worked towards that for years. Lobby groups are heard but aboriginal voices are not able to be heard in an organised, respectful way.

You remember when she told young African girls at the beginning of her speech in South Africa, I your sister and in Australia she and Harry sat on the beach with the young people and talked about mental health. There trips have always been different. Harry and Meghan are trying to make up and shining a light on the people left behind and giving them a leg up. They went to a largely african community in Columbia that many didn't know about and their culture they need a Art School built and require funding I know Harry and Meghan will fund that building that's what they do. Just like they help schools in Nigeria. There tours are not just photo ops, they are also fact finding and shining a light on need they also help where they can themselves or point them in the direction of help. That's making up and trying to write wrongs. You can't change the past but you can shape the future and that's what they are about. You were worried that they had lost their chief of staff after 3 months and they were embarking on that huge trip but it's a testament to them and their organisation they were able to carry off the trip without any obvious hitches. They also looked happy and relaxed on the trip. Meghan alluded to that. She said it's the first trip that she felt totally relaxed and it showed. You are right the royal family need them, they are failing miserably at the moment with Kate down and Charles only fifty percent. William seems to be rudderless and the rest no one is interested in their activities. How many people knew that Sophie did a tour for 4 days in Columbia only last November. I remember seeing only one tiny article about it. It went largely unnoticed. Harry and Meghan have their individual magic and together they are impossible to ignore. It's up to Charles to do the intelligent thing. Do what it takes to get them back on some level. It's too late to expect them to pick up their family and return but he could broker a deal, where the tours thy do are also representing the monarchy and the government and in exchange they give them the security and they come back for some public events. That is what they had proposed. If William don't like it he can go kick rocks. William need to stop the briefings against Harry. Where did the story come from that he wont be inviting Harry to his coronation. Isn't he a bit a head of things.
