Like so many other things, the Internet shone a light on that, pointing out that there are a TON of people doing "one man band" recordings. (Myself included.) This is why I believe that he was the GOAT of pop musicians. He was such a naturally talented musician who was accomplishment on ANY instrument he touched. He could play drums better than most drummers, play bass better than most bassists, and play keyboards better than most keyboardists. As for guitar, well, a reporter once asked Eric Clapton, "How does it feel to be the greatest guitarist in the world, "and Clapton replied, " I don't know ... ask Prince."
