Just to be clear, this is coming from someone who is a recovering addict who’s DOC was opiates and has met hundreds upon hundreds of other addicts. I have never met a single one that was trying to overdose and die. I don’t know what the truth is behind Princes’ passing besides what drug was in his system, but Fentanyl is incredibly dangerous and easy to overdose accidentally. I've personally OD’ed off the same thing several times. Luckily, I received Narcan each time. However, I have lost many friends the same way, whether they know what they were taking, or acquired something laced with Fentanyl. When someone has not built a tolerance to a drug like that, a pin drop amount could quickly kill them. Just thought that I would clear that up.

I never did drugs as a teen. Always said no to offers of meth. I was never interested and really addiction scared me. I had a back injury from falling out of a tree when i was 7 and didnt walk for a few months. My tail bone shattered and then over years tried to heal itself forming scar tissue that then hit nerves and cause a lot of pain. As an adult i began not being able to walk and had lots of emergency room visits. My doctor prescribed me a muscle relaxer, lortab and some other pill i dont remember. I was on these for years and had no idea they were addictive i was just taking my meds as schedule and feeling worse over time if i didnt take my meds...i assumed my back was getting worse. I was about 30 years old and the doctor decided to change my meds snd iwas cut off the lortab. I was in intense pain and couldn't get out if bed and take care of my children.i I was in college about to graduate and i couldnt function...i discovered it was the lortab i needed to feel better and bought them from people who had scripts...i became a hustler in a matter of days for that shit the detox was so painful it drove you.i was like a slave to it. Couldnt live with or without. My life became a nightmare and i found fentynol patches. I wasnt using to get high i was using to avoid the withdrawl. Iv been in recovery for 5 years. Be careful taking that stuff. It is a demon in disguise for real. To all the addicts suffering i feel your pain for real and it gets the best of us.

People are committing suicide because their pain is so severe, chronic and uncontrollable. This is someone who did that with drugs that started out as legal and because of his religion, he wouldn’t get full help through surgery. People who are in severe chronic pain like he suffered will find a way if a dr won’t help them. These people are the “unintended consequences” of being forced off of legal pain meds. Why else would the gangs press them into pills?! They are targeting pain patients cut off from their dr suddenly. Anyone who takes meds that aren’t prescribed by a dr knows they may die. Most don’t care because they don’t want to live with the pain. I’m not talking dope sickness, I’m talking unable to walk, shower, barely move. The families should quit blaming legitimate pain patients and legitimate pain medication for their loved ones death.

I don't think his sister has any idea what was really going on. I'm 99% sure Prince knew full well that he was taking fentanyl pills. He had used opiates for decades, he knew damn well the difference between how vicodin felt compared to fentanyl. Vicodin feels waaaay better, but his tolerance was too high to use vicodin since he'd need so many vicodin that the tylenol in it would be over a toxic level. People forget they also found U-47700 in Prince's system. Which meant Prince, like Tom Petty, was no stranger to potent synthetic opiates. You don't have U-47700 in your system unless you are a pro at sourcing research chemicals, trying to minimize your legal risk by using synthetic opiates that are actually legal to possess. I don't think U-47700 got scheduled until the year that Prince died. So Prince knew they were fentanyl pills, he either took too many or one pill had more fentanyl in it than it should have. Prince had to hide his habit from everyone so he went with pills he could pop quickly and privately. He would still be here today if he went with fentanyl patches or the nasal spray. But my guess is he didn't want suspicion from using nasal spray constantly and was afraid someone would send the fentanyl patch on his body somehow. Fentanyl is not poison- its literally a medicine used to treat pain. Low required dose is actually a good thing for cost and side effects. Any drug taken at too high a dose is deadly.

Back neck and all over body pain from performing. I know from running track. I will never forget one particular day I had taken one soma and one Percocet. The pain wouldn’t stop therefore I took two more soma and two Percocet all of a sudden I stood up and passed out my young child come running Mama please wake up mama please don’t leave me. I pushed myself to put my finger down my throat vomiting until I couldn’t vomit anymore. I immediately felt better grabbed my son and cried. I was so embarrassed coming from a middle class to semi first class upbringing. I never took another pill and to this day I still have not. Death doesn’t discriminate no matter how rich or poor you are it cost nothing to do right much as possible praying for those in need of help.

So many big music stars dying young in these last 13 years: Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Prince, Tom Petty, etc. We hate to think who's next. He obviously loved his fans as his compound isn't isolated like many are. He liked to go to places like McDonald's and Target where normal people were. If he were alive now, he would not like what's been going on in Minneapolis during the riots.

Prince could have already received the help he needed in MOLINE! Why not!!?? OR, (being a popular, well-to-do rock star) he could have been transported to a private room at a hospital in Minneapolis to receive treatment! Why NOT!!?? THE HELP was already there six days before. This addiction was too serious to just let him leave that hospital in MOLINE, but he did anyway! I thought you were smarter than that Prince. I thought Michael Jackson was smarter. I thought Whitney Houston was smarter. I thought Will Smith was smarter. Just one disappointment after another. ☹
@SudaMisango10 ай бұрын
Hospital said there weren't any private rooms at that time, that's why he left.

@user-ho6ld5ou6j Yes, I know which is why a phone call to secure a private room at a hospital in Minneapolis could/should have happened, he didn't have to leave and go home, other arrangements could have been made, but I'm sure Prince was just being stubborn like most addicts are!
