Prince William began the funding for the Invictus games with the money he received in breach of privacy lawsuits from media attacks on his phone. He made the donation in "his brother's name."

No I believe it was started with the Royal Foundation proir to this but William did donate the money from that lawsuit to the Invictus games, and he also donated a further 500k from the Royal foundation after Harry left the UK and the games were struggling for funds.

Don't I recall a FORMER boyfriend (briefly) who was Argentinian? Didn't he check? Right up there with majoring in foreign relations when her uni. didn't offer any such major. Harry grandly announces to Michael Buble and wife that Meg is fluent in Spanish. So Mrs Buble starts speaking to Meg in Spanish. And the fluent Spanish speaker Meg quickly tells Mrs Buble that she doesn’t speak Argentinian or Castellano😱. Mind you, Meg was an intern at the US Embassy in Buenos Aires, Argentina for six weeks while a student at Northwestern U. You’d think the fluent Spanish speaker would know 1)Mrs Buble was speaking to her in Spanish or Castellano and 2) there’s no such language as Argentinian. All Argentines speak Spanish like most Latin Americans from Mexico to Tierra del Fuego, Argentina.

Shauna I subscribed because I like your friendly channel, when my husband died in 2014 I made the decision that I would not have a drink when I was on my own and I broke that rule at the King's Coronation when I drank 2 glasses of Prosecco to wish him a long life. I have not weakened since coming as I do from a family of alcoholics or near alcoholics. Your chat about the "mafia"'s bouncers/bodyguards struck a chord. I foster for the rest of their lives older dogs whose owners have died or gone into long term dementia care nursing homes. This is for the Cinnamon Trust. Daisy came to live with me in April 2022, she is the fifth dog I have cared for and like the others before her she sleeps on my bed. I wear during the day a GPS Alarm because I am prone to fall over and during the night I place it on its charger. At about 12.40am this particular night Daisy growled and jumped off the bed barking. I put the bedside light on and saw 2 very well built men in black walking down my hall towards the bedroom. I was in shock until I saw a blue flash with NHS on one of the men's top, thank goodness! It appeared that my alarm had gone off and being unable to raise me on the phone the monitors had called the paramedics. After checking I was okay and that there was no one hiding in the other rooms they left. Needless to say the light stayed on for the rest of the night! My alarm was serviced and found to be broken, I presume during one of my falls. I shall now "sip" my elderflower cordial, cheers!

I woke up at 2.15AM to go to the loo, and to block my husband's snoring, I put on my headphones and open the KZbin and listen to Shauna. I agree Princess Catherine is missed, and also hope she continues to feel better. I do hope she does get a lifelong honeymoon period because throughout the past 4 or 5 years, she’s done not a single thing wrong, and still had received more criticism than she’s ever deserved. Like you said they don’t do the pap stroll and pose, they politely acknowledge the cameras and focus on the people they’re being greeted the officials.

Congratulations, Shauna. 50K is another level; I knew it would happen before this video. I thought William looked it amazing self, but without Catherine it made him more handsome, more adorable because everyone could see that he was missing his best mate. Another fab "Gossip", Shauna, and cheers on reaching the fab 50,000! 🥂🍾 This is a bit of a ramble, but just between you and me, Shauna, 🤫 lol... Last summer, on a scorcher of a day, ☀️ hubby and I were looking for somewhere nice to take our wee granddaughter, Grace, (then aged 4), and we settled on Dumfries House, where we've been many a time. We only ever have a wee stroll through the gardens as it gives Grace plenty of free rein to run about in the sunshine and fresh air. She was quite far ahead of us, but we could still see her, and I'm on crutches, so I can't walk fast. Anyway, Grace is skipping along this wee path, and there's a man in sunglasses, chinos and a short sleeved shirt sitting on a bench, with some other younger men nearby. Grace skips along to the bench and the men walk forward, but the man on the bench kind of waves them away. Before we knew it, she's sitting on the bench beside him, then she moves to SIT ON HIS KNEE, chatting away quite the thing, so hubby and I look at each other, starting to get a bit anxious and panicky, as it's unusual for her to do that with a stranger, and in this day and age it's really a no-no! So, hubby speeds up towards her, leaving me behind, and the guys make a move towards him, but again the man on the bench waves them off, but hubby stops dead in his tracks and turns to look (oddly) at me. 😮 I'm hobbling along as fast as I can and get to the point where I'm wondering what hubby's bloody well doing, and why's he become a bloody statue and not getting her moved away from a strange man, and I hear Grace and this man having a good old laugh with each other, so I presume it's someone she knows, who we clearly don't. As I (eventually) catch up with hubby, who's still motionless, I see who it is that Grace is chatting away to, and he turns around and says to me. "Grace tells me you're her Gran, and you met my mum in Marks and Spencer?" 🤭 I'm never one to be at a loss for (mostly sweary) words, lol, and think to myself: "OMFG! It's The King! 🫣 Am I meant to curtsey, bow or what 'cause if I do, I'll fall over"! 🙄 Anyway, she's still sitting on his lap, and I had to explain that just after his mother, Her late Majesty passed, Marks & Spencer's had a cardboard figure of her, and Grace knew who she was and gave it a kiss and cuddle. In a matter-of-fact way, Grace tells him her big sister died, (stillborn at 39+6 💔), and so did this one and that one in our family, and 'they're all in heaven looking down on us'. He looks to me for maybe confirmation, and I give him the low-down on what she's talking about. He moves along the bench a bit and beckons for me to sit as I must've looked as knackered as I felt, 🙄 and they're chatting away good style, like they've been old pals for years - well, more Grace than him, and he's nodding away, agreeing with her, and encouraging her by asking questions! She then tells me she needs a pee (!!!) 🫣 and as the King laughingly gets her off his knees and sets her back on the path, she puts her arms up round his neck, gives him a kiss on the cheek, and oddly he doesn't flinch or pull away or anything, and she says "See you later, King"! He bursts out laughing, so do we all, and he says "I do hope so, Grace, it's been an education, and a delightful one at that. Enjoy the rest of your day!" We were stunned, and said what a pleasure it was to meet him, and apologised that we'd intruded on his very limited personal time, as Grace runs off towards the toilets, and as we leave him and follow her, he simply says: "Not at all. Goodbye." We haven't been this year yet, (as the weather's just awful - cold, wet, windy and miserable), although Grace took great pride in telling everyone in the family, at Nursery school, in our local café, the butcher's, the baker's, etc., how she met The King at Dumfries House. I dont think anybody believed her, until we set the record straight, as did her Mum & Dad! Maybe we'll be lucky and meet him again this coming summer, or maybe his encounter with Grace was enough to scare him off Dumfries House for good, but who knows... Thank you for your kind words, ladies. To me Grace is a wee star, but when she's not happy, we call her Grizelda, lol 😅, and she's the one for whom I bought the Baby Cambie soft toy, as she loves cuddling my own 61 year old stuffed koala, who's moulting and has honestly seen better days! 🐨 Living in Ayrshire, Dumfries House isn't that far from us, and I'd never in a million years have dreamt we'd ever meet anyone as high profile in our neck of the woods! I should be honest and say I've never really been a fan of Charles, (I'm a Diana fan,) although in recent years, I've kind of warmed to him, and, although I hate to admit it, I'm warming to Camilla, too, as you can see how right for each other they are! I just feel that if they'd been allowed by the Queen to marry when they first fell in love waaaaay back, it would've saved damaging at least one life! On the other hand, William and Harry wouldn't have existed without Diana, so I guess what I'm saying is that I'm happy with the status quo, now, with William, Catherine and their lovely family.

I loved seeking Patricia Routledge with all the other dames. She must be very elderly now. I can remember seeing her in the congregation when the choir that I sing in was doing the weekend services at Chichester Cathedral about 15 years ago We were standing in for the usual choir whilst the choirboys were on holiday. She was very quiet and ‘under the radar. By the way, our choir had an even more special time last weekend. We were the stand-in choir at St George’s Chapel Windsor. What a privilege to be able to sing there! Shame the King and Queen were at Sandringham, lol.

Ooooooo I love spooky stories, I can remember as kids we would all sit under the lamp near our house. At the side of which was a long path that lead to our back gate. This path was very spooky with shadows from the trees and creaking noises. Somehow on the ghost story nights I always got sat at the corner of the fence and the path......any way we were all really into the ghost story.. there was a breeze and we started to hear a slight cracking, I turned round to see something white move onto the fence. Any way thinking it was nothing I turned back to the story.....after a while my friend stopped in mid sentence her mouth dropping open ! Looking at the other 4 girls they all had the same expression......I turned my head slowly and right by the side of my head was a hand......it was weirdly pail and kind of shimmering. I screamed my friends all screamed we couldn't get up off the floor quick enough....we were falling all over each othe.....we must have looked like a tanged mess of arms and legs all trying to run away. Then I heard a bloody laugh I knew so bloody well it was my mum !!!! Knowing we sat there telling story's mum had got dad to make a hole in the fence my mum had beautiful pail skin anyway but she had covered her hand and arm in talc and a glittering powder make up that was out at the time. She stuck her hand and arm through the hole..... scared us silly 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 mum didn't stop laughing for days, every time she thought about it mum said she only wished she had seen our faces😂😂😂😂😂.that was 50+ years ago. The path way is now known as hunted lane😂😂😂 my own grandchildren talk about the disembodied arm that floats in mid air grabbing hold of you as you walk past😂😂😂😂😂😂 all because my mum was an absolute nutcase who loved a laugh 😂😂😂

I thought the number of women wearing opera gloves at the ceremony could have been a nod to her, previous bafta fashion. I loved your mafia story. I once realised I was briefly working for the Japanese yakuza while teaching English in Japan for what I thought was a reputable school!!. She took a photo of me with my students and captured us all gasping instead of smiling as we realised she was missing a couple of fingers, which was a telltale sign. I left soon after! I'm watching this video as a palette cleanser. There is so much nasty speculation about Catherine, and William too, with people saying the worst things and seemingly intent on spreading terrible rumors about her health and even their marriage. I've seen no evidence of anything but a beautiful loving couple in William and Catherine but the rumors and speculation can really put a dark cloud on everything. I’m so with you re: Prince William(love the velvet tux)& David Beckham. I hadn’t much cared for him until he queued to pay his respects to our late majesty, QEII. He showed such respect and honour(& tears)and this encouraged me to watch the documentary. And I’ve fallen in love with him and Victoria and just found him absolutely endearing in every respect. ❤❤

Congratulations Shauna on 50,000. I love listening to ‘Gossip Before Bedtime”. My little bit of Royalty Gossip - I was lunching at a gorgeous home in Windsor Great Park. The ‘host family husband’ worked at Windsor Castle and in Windsor Great Park. Before the Sunday roast we attended the service at the rather ‘small’ chapel for the residents of WFP. Guess who was there the late Queen Mother. I was introduced to her and she gave that lovely tilt of the head smile, then I watched her walk away with her lady in waiting. (1987) Also after Sunday roast and walk around Great Park (short distance for me as the borrowed ‘Wellies’ were too big. Anyway photo album came out and I saw many pictures of Dianna in their back yard (host) probably afternoon drinks 😊 One last bit of gossip - host’s daughter had had a big night - next day while she was slowly recovering- the late Queen who was visiting said to her - I am going to make you a cup of tea, that fixes sore heads’. The late Queen apparently was fun to have in their home. Sip
