Peach is just too redundant of a character At least Daisy is a pleasant character to see

So Wario didn't send Tatanga to Sarassaland as a distraction, that was never stated. It is implied in a Mario maker course that Sarassaland is across the water from the Mushroom Kingdom. Also, Sarassaland is not entirely made up of deserts. It is also probably the unnamed landmass near the Mushroom Kingdom on the map. Interesting enough, Daisy's og design was pretty different from Peach's when one examines it. Mario and Peach probably weren't dating. That is probably how Mario speaks, and the heart could be a 1-Up Heart. Peach and Daisy are probably dating. The sports and kart games are canon and not a separate continuity. Daisy also appeared in Super Mario Run. I believe she doesn't show up for the same reason a character like Wario doesn't show up, it doesn't make narrative sense. In other games like NSMBUD Bowser interrupts ongoing situations, and thus it wouldn't make sense for Luigi to call up his girlfriend to make her way to the Grasslands from her home in Sarassaland. In addition characters like Daisy is busy ruling Sarassaland, and Wario is off on either his own adventure or doing some WarioWare scheme. It makes sense for Daisy and Wario to show up on Sports, Karting, and Party events because these are often planned events. Daisy showing up in SMBW makes sense because she was probably invited by Prince Florian like Peach was. Daisy is also associated with the fruit oranges, similar to how Peach is associated with well peaches.
