@Halfrando7 жыл бұрын
Frequency is 1/T so the time period is constant. so for each complete circuit of the cyclotron. The speed increase is balanced out by the increase of the radius.
@barnali90253 жыл бұрын
Timeperiod of circular motion of a charge in a magnetic field is given by 2piem/qB...in this you can see there in no v(speed of particle)...and frequency is 1/T so... this is why he said it is not dependent on velocity of charge

just question . can man build a cyclotron able to reach escape velocity for radioactive waste. to the sun
@azzyboii8306 жыл бұрын
the escape velocity to sun from earths orbit is 42.127 km/s.... the only limitation this cyclotron faces is that if velocity crosses speed of light then the frequency becomes zero more like placing a pendulum in the middle of the earth it wont oscillate this can be followed up by einstein special theory of relativity ... and yep you cant oscillate neutral species and only charged species can be accelerated and also using an electron is not preffered cos its mass is not effecient to initiate an acceleration and get a massive velocity out of the cyclotron..... so basically what am saying yes it can reach escape velocity but what you tend to do with it is not practical its like launching nuclear waste to earth atmosphee re lots of variables and lots of stuff can go wrong and the high enrgy radiowaste can even bombard the atoms in our atmosphere on its journey to the space.....dude cmon think about it...seriously
@dncmi14365 жыл бұрын
Simply we can't accelerate that much mass to such a high speed.It will take lots of energy
@metawhirl46094 жыл бұрын
@@azzyboii830 oh very nice so you basically talking about the most basic principle of theory of relativity that is velocity increases mass so exactly you are wrong indirectly because any charge particle (except electron and other which have less than gram mass) can travel at speed of light such that you should just have adjust the duration of time to radiate energy from any charge it will behave like infinite mass.....you should lot to learn about special relativity Just take it seriously you are right but didn't understand simple concept Not explaining about cyclotron just want to clear concepts I write only few points Also not taking about electron because it is not compatible unit against speed of light very neglect mass it has

@@anmolagrawal5358 is right. The main use of this machine when it was first in invinted before the Manhattan project. @ceramicblocks5 жыл бұрын
@@codyburkholder7397 Um you partly wrong sir. You are right about electrons not being used due to EXTREMELY SCARCE MASS but sir the penetration power of an electron is FAR FAR greater than a PROTON or a NEUTRON. The actual reason is that the electron would be accelerated to such high velocities that it would become out of phase with the oscillating field & it is EXTREMELY TOUGH to perceive its curvature at such high velocities so the desired effect of cyclotron wouldn't be achieved. :D
