The device CUSA ( cavitron ultrasonic dissector) used in neurosurgery and liver or spleen for parenchymal division. Its function is to cut the parenchyma devoid of tough fibrous tissues leaving the vessels &?ducts intact for ligation . The latest ligasure device is a multipurpose hand piece that includes a monopolar probe / hook for cutting.

Sir you should have compared sonicision (Covidien) insted of ligasure which fits in this category and have greater advantages then harmonic and thunderbeat

Sonicision works on the same principle as harmonic. It's disadvantages are the same. Only one blade moves. Not great in dissection if you're used to maryland for dissection. Though device choice is a personal preference in the end, it's good to know them all.

Kind of, yes. Bipolar is safer than harmonic scalpel as far as heat and lateral spread are concerned.
