It's like Prince Philip never being made king. Neither Denmark or the UK have the tradition of granting the Crown Matrimonial to the husband of a Queen Regnant. Mary Queen of Scots did, but was then implicated in her husband's murder

@@mscott3918 I understand but he was terribly hurt and bitter about it. Even left Denmark at one time and refused to be buried near Margarethe. It has to feel quite emasculating for a man like Philip for example, who has to walk two steps behind his wife.
