Printer ink company's who supply printer ink cartridges do everything the can to sell us over priced Printer Ink Cartridges. With attached chips to every printer ink cartridge we are also being stopped using other just as good printer ink cartridges. But people are getting wise and saying NO to being Ripped Off. I will never buy another HP printer. Everything was fine as long as I allowed HP to charge a monthly fee for ink & limit the number of pages I printed. I have a home business, I got tired of HP and their over reach. I withdrew my credit card and I declined HP instant ink. My HP printer was remotely shut off, I have an error message that says I need to renew my instant Ink account! Although I have bought new cartridges, the printer has stopped working. I called HP, they basically told me my printer will work if I re-open my instant ink account (SO They can charge me!). I refused. I bought my printer outright - why should I HAVE TO pay HP a monthly fee to be able to use the freaking printer THAT I OWN? Why can’t I buy ink whenever & from whomever I want? Why do I need HP to monitor my printing habits and they charge me if I print over their limit? Can anyone tell me how to get my HP 9010e working? I only bought it 8 mos ago, otherwise I would chuck it out the window. I refuse to give HP another penny. I will never buy another HP product. They should be boycotted for selling products and then charging a fee to use that product. Don’t buy HP‼️

I totally agree with you. How can we boycott this scam!!! I am in the exact predicament and I have 3new ink boxes that I cannot use. There must be a way to get this chip off.

THANK YOU! I hate the fact that the printer becomes pretty much useless when the colour cartridge is "empty" (only according to HP...) even though the black cartridge is full. When that happens just before exam week one's blood pressure rises pretty high... So thank you again.

What's even worse than them making sure your refilled cartridge won't work or atleast not work properly is them publicly claiming that they are against plastic waste... Lowering your CO² footprint by 82% 😂 By not letting consumers refill their catridges. Hp really deserves to go bankrupt. Ink maffia.. My 1st and final hp product.

I know. I remember years ago you could just go into your printer settings and make an adjustment to print in black only, don't know if you can still do it? HP are a big let down x

I had someone remove the current Firmware 2024 address and upload a Firmware address of about 14-15 years ago and when they finished, it worked perfectly again with remanufactored ink. They followed the process that was posted on KZbin. Thank God for GREAT IT Workers!!!!!!!!

Yep it works thanks =) Also sometimes it stops printing restart first after the changes. Also if you print 2 pages and it stops after the first page. Press the Circle with the black gray white pies on the printer and it will print the next page. It prints normal! like the normal ink. Only cheaper! I used to buy ink bottle and injection until hp started to do that counterfeit warning.

Nothing helps. It still says: cartridge can only be used in the printer that initially used it and must be replaced.

thank you for your help. I don't have a home button I can get to on the printer or a back button. I gave up and ordered a new one, which I will use to start up this remanufactured one. I am donating the old printer after I am sure it will work. I bought a 5055. GBY and keep you and all yours in this time of sadness.

This is so dumb what hp is ripping people's money. We have the same issue. Our ink is halfway full. We only use our printer like a few times for homework, months went by, and we didn't get any ink since it was good on ink. Now that we need it, we are not able to print because our subscription expired, so we can't print even though we got that ink when we had the subscription.

Don't know if this is useful or not, but ages ago I cleaned out the ink collection sponge at the back of my printer, once I did my printer worked again, apparently the sponge has a sensor so the printer won't work, when the sponge is full. Do some printer sponge research for your make of printer on KZbin. X

This doesn't work. It is the printer itself that is detecting a used up cartridge and is showing an error when you fill it up and try to reuse it.

Good morning. Trying the second option. I do not have an option for maintain your printer. After I click on the HP Assistant it takes me to an HP site wanting to sell cartridges, insurance etc. Dang!

Amazing feat...using razor knife I was able to "pop out" HP compatible chip and replace it within a Non HP ink cartridge! Problem solved.

I'm trying to control the urge to throw mine out of the window I never use mine with a computer Or use the HP WiFi crap I just use an app on my phone which worked ok, I've used Tesco refills but the printer now says they're not compatible, it must update through the WiFi and now won't won't allow them to be used, I just spent £25 on Tesco's cartridges (the HP ones are £40!) Just want to copy my late mother's will, I'm furious!!

Hi I have an HP7720 and only recently all of a sudden it now refuses to override the compatible cartridges. "Non HP cartridge detected" and there is no option anymore for "accept anyway". I have tried the work arounds in this clip, but assume perhaps updated firmware has a new blocker. Any ideas....?

Hi there - sorry for late reply LIFE EH!!!! I don't know if you can restore your computer/laptop to a previous time through restore points? Press F7 on start-up restore to a previous time. Or if you can undo any recent changes maybe. Let me know how you get on x

@@MedleyUnlimited it's the printer firmware that has been upgraded and blocks non hp cartridges. nothing to do with computer or laptop. I don't think the printer upgrade can be undone.
