Thank you for your excellent easy to follow instructions. When scanning the printer asks for me to select my computer's name. Nothing is listed to select and no instructions comes up on my computer which is an iMac.

Good video. Thanks. I am looking for a new printer and this was helpful. This seems like one of my better options for a replacement. I have had a PIXMA 922 for 7 years and it been flawless. The only reason I need a printer is that Canon no longer updates the 922 for OS 14 in my Macbook. Everything about the 922 seems better to me. Overall layout, front photo tray and most importantly, the ability to duplex scan. Never thought I would use that as much as I have.

My canon 830 had a laser light that monitored the ink carts level looks like this isn't in this one. Is the print head cartridge replaceable or do they do way with that too. Canon if it ain't broke stop trying to fix it you just make it worse.

I cannot download and run the Canon Software. I keep getting an error message that states "To install the software, you must be logged in as administrator, which makes no sense because my IT guy is logged in as the administrator when we try to run it. Please help!!!!
