I don't get it. Either his position is they agreed to 2200 or not. It would be certainly reasonable for him to negotiate the price down if he finds it in the described condition, but one cannot just do it in their mind... one has to communicate it with the vendor. Or their could be an additional barter deal or whatever, but you need to speak!

If he took it, then he likely has to pay her price. However, I do believe that she is a scammer. The equipment was not in working order since it wasn't assembled and couldn't be shown to be in working order. She didn't have any pictures of the equipment. It had been in storage for a long time and likely wasn't in working order and likely didn't include all the pieces.
