Kenny, great video as usual! Another option for printing FX to individual items is to use "Apply track/take FX to items as new take". In order to preserve reverb and delay tails, go to Preferences->Media and set "Tail length when using Apply FX to items". Alternatively, you could simply extend the right edge of the item (make sure "Loop source" is unchecked in item properties).

Love the straight forward approach. No filler talk in between. This is exactly how my mind absorbs new info 👍🏻

i love you so much Kenny. I remember EONS ago watching your Groove 3 tutorials and thinking "Wow, this guy really knows how to explain stuff well." So grateful to have discovered your TREASURE CHEST of reaper videos.

Kenny, many thanks for this. You cleared up quite a lot of confusion that I had about printing effects - why one would do it, and how to do it.

Thank you for keeping on doing these tutorials! I started out my music creation with the computer using Reaper and you have been the main source of info for me. Just brilliant! Thank you! :)

Now if I have a mono track. I'm going to want to set the output to mono right?
@baldwindumortier93437 жыл бұрын
Why do you record the output of the second track ? As the reverb is on the first track, the input of the second track is the output of the first no ?
@REAPERMania7 жыл бұрын
Because sending a track to another isn't really putting it at the input stage. It's a bit later in the chain and won't get recorded if you choose Input.

Why you don't use the take fx for each item and record it all at once?
@mageprostudios43347 жыл бұрын
Mario Hübinger that's the way I had been doing it. However, this only works when you are using less than 5 fx's. As you approach 10 on a track, the cpu processing will halt playback and glitch a render.

because it wont capture the tails unless you insert and glue a new empty item to each part
