Nouman Ijaz i dont know much about offset printing inks to be able to give you an answer. i would run a few test prints, transfer them on to a few different fabrics, cure, wash. see which if any hold up the best. there are tins of factors that are involved in testing, pressure, temp, time. each of these can really make/break a print.

Your honest opinion my brother what u think is better heat vinyl transfer or plastisol heat transfer ?
@Houseofbeasts
@Houseofbeasts 4 жыл бұрын
trizzgreenery good question.. i don't necessarily think one is better than the other overall, both if applied correctly will last. i look at which will provide the best results based on whats needed at that time. if its a complete 1 off, a small order, design with little detail, need in a hurry, vinyl is best. if its detailed design, customer will reorder in small quantities at a time repeatedly, smaller prints like garment labels, plastisol transfers are best. i have had great results using both. they both have they pros/cons, too me its more of which is more profitable and makes more sense at that time. really good question

yes you can use the heat gun, but it takes alot longer. if you have a temp gun, use it when using the heat gun so you get an idea of temp. it should be gelled once you hit 220-225. once its gelled snd cooled, run your hand over the paper to make sure there isnt any ashesive residue left cause when you press it, it will leave the adhesive on the garment.

my opinion is wilflex has been the best ink Ive dealt with. I use the Epic Rio mixing system from wilflex purchased from GSG dallas, printers choice low bleed, low cure inks from river city graphics and have some FN inks from ryonet. Those are my daily use inks. keep in mind, its more important to use the right ink for the right application rather than the "best" ink. Stacy Bell-Singh apologize for just seeing this message. you can do multi-colors. you have to set one color, the register your second. you could hover your heat press over the transfer and that should work. a heat gun would take alot longer if you did use a heat gun. i never mentioned but an oven could work as well. especially since you could set the temp.

If I have a flash dryer do I still get it to 340? Or do I need a conveyer dryer
@Houseofbeasts
@Houseofbeasts 5 жыл бұрын
just get it up to around 300. you dont want to cure it, just gel it. a flash dryer will work fine as long as you watch your temps

@Houseofbeasts

i have never tried with waterbased buy i have heard it is doable. maybe using an hsa (high solids acrylic) ink (green galaxy inks) may possibly work.

Is there anyway to make them without going into air dryer?
@Houseofbeasts
@Houseofbeasts 5 жыл бұрын
Kristie Escamilla if you have a flash dryer or a heat gun, however the heat gun would take alot longer and you would need a laser thermometer to make sure you dont over or under-cure.

Does this method work for multi color designs?
@Houseofbeasts
@Houseofbeasts 5 жыл бұрын
Tim McElheny yes, you have to heat the paper to avoid shrinking as you flash in between colors. After researching more, there is an clear adhesive made by wilflex that you print as your final color. That adhesive takes the place of the powder.

How could you do multi color Plastisol heat transfer?
@Houseofbeasts
@Houseofbeasts 5 жыл бұрын
you first frun your transfer paper thru the flash/conveyor to avoid shrinkage later. print everything in reverse, your underbase would be last. print/flash/print..etc... after the under-base is printed, then run thru the adhesion powder wet so powder adheres to it. run thru conveyor.

ardan tank there a some people that cant screen-print because of financial reasons, space reasons but they do own a heat press. this is a way for them to get into the business and a way for screen-printers to expand their business. We did a bunch of transfers before and set up at a event. instead of printing tshirts and hope they sale, the customer was able to pick the shirt color and print and we pressed on the spot. Big money maker.
