WOW! My aunt has corrected me through a text so many times for stuff I've posted on social media. I laughed out loud, because I also came back defensive. But now look back and know she was right!! Glad we all have a Priscilla Shirer in our lives, even if it's not her personally. Love her lots!
@denisegilpatrick96703 ай бұрын
What is great about this is that Sadie recognized and accepted the discipling done by her friend--that she did not get defensive about it to the extent that she lashed out. She took it, accepted it, and applied it. That's fantastic!

Exactly What she shared was such a lesson to us all. I know it spoke to me and I'm thankful for the mentor years ago that God put in my pathway. The Lord uses both these mighty women for his glory and kingdom

One of the most powerful things I have seen or heard in my life that was truly life changing was a video clip by Priscilla Shirer a few years back. She was talking about being in a place in life where you had done all you could do and you still felt helpless and she used a clip from the Lion King to illustrate the power of prayer and when I apply that powerful illustration to my situation I can almost feel the breath of the Lion of the Tribe of Judah breathing down my neck and all of a sudden I am unstoppable! 🙌💪🙏💯

Thank you Sadie for sharing your journey and having this conversation with Priscilla Shirer. I am an 65 year old Caribbean grandmother of 11. This was a very frank and Holy Spirit-led discussion about our influence as Christian women and men. I am making notes to reflect on and pass on to the hearts of my grans and other young people. To God be the glory!

I have great respect for a young woman who will take advice from an older woman that she loves and respects. It’s not really about the younger (or the older), but about God getting glory through our lives. This is what love does. Just love both these women.

the timing of this podcast is truly insane I am only 15 minutes in and feel like the Lord knew I needed this podcast. Earlier today I finally broke down after a couple months of being in new grad life was just writing down all my feelings. I was so frustrated that every open door was closing or didn’t feel right and that I still don’t have a job. I was also so frustrated that I didn’t know what to do during this season of my life and I know the Lord puts me in every season and I want to make the best of it but I didn’t know how to and Priscilla’s first piece of advice was literally and answer to prayer for me. And then just all of your talk about your early 20’s of the frustration and disappointment was exactly what I have been feeling and struggling with the hindsight and I know from experience that the Lord will use this all for his good but also right now I am just disappointed and frustrated I am trying to learn how to hold the tension of frustration/disappointment but the promises of God at the same time. Anyways this was such an answered prayer for me thank you so much!

I love the call out and how you received the message as a teenager! I was called out a few years ago and I’m your senior by like 5ish years. I was hesitant to hear it at the time. However, it sat with me and I haven’t been on social media for almost 2 years because I want to approach social media in a different way when I do return. I want to be a blessing and bring glory to the kingdom. Thank you for sharing that story!

Such a great interview! I took a Priscilla Shirer Bible Study years ago. In the back of the study guide she showed the verses of Scriptures that she says over her children. I was so touched I memorized it and began speaking it over my grandchildren when they spent the night. My youngest grandchild is 10 years old and I am still doing it. My older is 25. Thank you Priscilla!

Most of the time we hear accountability from loved ones or people we know around us and we blow it off. Isn't it awkward how sometimes we will listen to a complete stranger about how we are conducting our life before we'll listen to the ones closest to us.

I actually saw Priscilla Shirer speak back in 2006 at a women's conference weekend at Hume Lake and I remember I was sick all weekend and I missed the first 2 messages she preached but on Sunday I was able to see her speak and it was the first time I literally felt the Holy Spirit fill the room. I raised my hands to God and I felt the hairs on my neck stand and while this was happening Priscilla said she felt the Spirit of the Lord in that room. It changed my life. Thank you so much Sadie, for having her on and it's so crazy that I am a huge fan of your messages and it's so awesome how God uses you and here Priscilla is the one that has helped shape you and how you speak God's word. Amazing! God is so awesome and He is using such awesome people like Sadie and Priscilla to preach His word to the world.

Such an awesome episode! I love Priscilla Shirer! I am planning to watch The Forge and can't wait! One of my all-time favorite movies is War Room. I bought it during a time in my life where I was reading her book, Fervent: A Woman's Battle Plan to Serious, Specific and Strategic Prayer. It inspired me to have my own prayer closet. That book helped me get through a difficult time in my marriage and helped me understand who my real enemy is and that my energy should be used fighting him instead of my husband. I will forever be grateful for that book and Priscilla's mentorship to me and so many other women. God is so good! I love how He teaches and grows us if we let Him! ❤ I also have a note in my phone where I write down illustration ideas!! Too funny! That is so cool! I use it for the times I give "Words of Encouragement" at my church. Thank you ladies, for your honesty and encouraging us to hold each other accountable! It is so important and it definitely isn't done enough. All done prayerfully and from a humbled heart of love. ❤
