Күн бұрын

In this video, we're going to make some prison wine using a recipe that Dave brought home after just serving a year. A recipe that he saw used quite often. And was a really lucrative hustle to have and know how to make on the inside. We're also going to compare this recipe to REAL WINE. And I think the taste test reaction might surprise you! Hope you enjoy this video! And if so, SMASH THAT LIKE BUTTON FOR APS!!!!

You know in France they have wine called Clarefont, it's made from overspill from all the regular vinyards. The overspill is mixed together and sold for less than one Euro a bottle. And it actually tastes alright, sometimes pretty good. The French homeless have some good shit!

Dude had the right idea of how alcohol is made but didn't execute it right at all.. especially when he said it should take 2 to 3 days.. it'll be like 2% ABV.. you need to let that shit ferment minimum 5 days.. I'm glad they did it at 4.. but it should have definitely been strained that way you are tasting the pure alcohol and not all the rotted nasty shit.. I promise it would have been 100x better

you can make a proper bubbler, no air should go inside the bag, instead have your "air tube" go into some water, which air can get out, but not get in, this is the correct method for proper wine without SPOILAGE.

Hi guys. A few facts about yeast. It is a facultative anaerobe. Which means it functions with or without oxygen. Generally,there are two phases. Reproduction first,then fermentation. Ideally,you want the mix to run out of oxygen about the time fermentation starts. Yeast is also pH dependent. A little acid whether citric acid (lemon juice) or more an inorganic acid is a wise idea. That way the fermentation is mostly alcohol. Doing up the top was a good idea,but a loose fit,not a tight one,would allow the carbon dioxide to escape. You want the majority of the bubbling to stop before you open it up. Alcohol kills yeast at about 20% alcohol. Wine yeast is more tolerant than bakers yeast. They are very different strains. Bakers yeast is bred by the Fleischmans people to rise quickly. Wine yeast makes a big difference in flavour because yeast produces a lot more chemicals than just alcohol. Never thought of tomato paste as a base,but what the kitchen has available is what gets picked. Apple juice in England produces scrumpy,and that stuff can be wonderful. The only cider I tried on this side of the Atlantic was so awful I never tried again. A friend made some orange wine that was very nice. Blackberry wine is wonderful,but the act of picking enough berries for five gallons takes hours of painful effort. Made my own beer and wine for years. There are literally hundreds of recipes,some can be really nice. Nothing the matter with using a garbage bag. Proper equipment makes for a more reliable end product,that is all. Good luck and fortune to both you guys. Whatever it takes to stay out of trouble,keep it up. Once you have managed to stay out a while,more opportunities should open up to you. The APS show is a good idea. The two of you gassing each other works quite well,the humour is natural not forced. I read a lot of negativity in this comment section. This episode was a good idea. Some of the more unpleasant stuff can sometimes be turned into humour. Keep at it. Joe your natural storytelling gifts are getting better wit practise. Keep it up. Cheers.

Thanks for the Information! As an addition, bakers yeast, wine yeast stemms, none of them will be aviable in Prison. And getting it from Bread is a ridicolous Idea, because those Cells are as dead as they can be after baking to around 100°C core temperature. The yeast stemms in those wines are - if you don't do it with a store bought one - completely random, as you basically cultivate random wild yeast stemms. This also means every time you would do it from scratch, you will propably cultivate other stemms, with different properties, that will lead to a different taste as well. I personally make "prison wine" at home without commercial yeast added. The goal isn't actually to drink it, but to bake with it. In the baking scene it is known as Yeast Water or Fruit Water, or something like that. Water, Fruits, Herbs, Vegs (any got wild yeasts on their hull) and a source of additional food for the yeasts (like sugar, better something like eg malt, Beetroot Syrup, or something like that), plus Time will most of the times lead into a natural fermentation by the wild yeasts, and that fluid is capable to rise a bread if used correctly. Also, it can taste AMAZING. I tried many different fruits (fresh or dried - both will work). My best tasting one was till this day one with fresh elderflower. I baked two loaves of bread with it, but I drank the rest of my 2 litres or something I made during the time, because it was fucking delicous. And as I said, the stemms you will get are completely random, can be dozens of different stemms working together, making each new one different from the past. You can also take some of the old liquid or fermented Fruit and Feed it with new Fruit, Water and Sugar and the yeast stemms you cultivated will be the same in there, the process is also shortened TREMENDOUSLY, because in the old Fluid/fruits the stemms did highly replicate, giving you a head start in fermentation Sourdough also works basically the same. Wild yeasts stemms (and lactic acid bacteria) on the hulls of the grains are cultivated, they eat the starch of the grains and will replicate, and after couple of feedings will be able to make a bread rise. Also completely different stemms.
@punkit743

Take 2 oranges and 4 table spoons of sugar peel them and mush them up add a little water sugar the set it in a warm place for a two or 3 days that will ferment and you can use that instead of yeast. The yeast is what makes you sick and have a hangover. And the flavor is better IMO
@msjkramey
@msjkramey 3 жыл бұрын
If it ferments, that's because of the natural yeast from the air... lol. You need yeast to make any form of alcohol. Yeast ingests sugar and its waste products are CO2 and alcohol. Did you miss middle school science? Lol You get sick and hungover because alcohol is literal poison that gets you high and because you get dehydrated when you drink (it's a diuretic). Did you miss middle school health, too? Ha

@@msjkramey im not quit sure how you managed to make a simple comment into a snotty insulting rebuttel. My guess is your life must be very miserable, and you must need these condescending comments to compensate for your lack of self esteem. Take a look threw my channel then if you have any questions about brewing or distilling I will answer them for you.Not to mention you are wrong bacteria can create alcohol as well with no yeast present.

When I was locked up in LA County Jail, I had bought this bottle of jail alcohol made from orange juice (used as the base), a rotten banana (used as yeast), and skittles (for extra sugar). And this shit had a good alcohol percentage and tasted like straight alcohol and skittles, that shit was good.

Did 21 and been out since 2004...almost 20 years!...it's good to remind yourself every day of what you have been delivered from..., but society in general simply do not want to hear anything about it....especially. those who have never done time...many people think you're telling them about it to impress them, or intimidate, but that has never been my reason for "sharing"...better to keep it to yourself, unless those around you are non-judgmental.
