Should be changing her gloves and washing her hands, between searches. That's what latex gloves are for. Should have a second female officer present, during serches. Also; serches should be authorized; not for Ferguson's jollies. The things Ferguson is getting away with is un- realistic. Dressing her up like a female S.S.officer was totally over the top and enough for the veiwer. All this other stuff would be enough to get her fired. I do feel bad for the actress. The writers went out of their way to make her hated. This could be dangerous for the actress. Their are people who can't seperate the character from the actress on the outside.

Have to give Judy props for standing up to Freaky Fergie. I'm another one who is fed up with outgoing prisoners being pressured to risk their freedom carrying out letters and messages. Having said that - Judy was ridiculous for not hiding the letter better. I'm always amazed that the women with big breasts don't fold the note up tight and tuck it right up in the crease - that would certainly be better than having it hanging halfway out of the top of your jeans with your shirt barely covering it!

I've always thought that Brenda was a few sandwiches short of a picnic from when we seen her earlier on in the series. My opinion is that she's mentally unstable, it's almost becoming kidnapping like, especially as she's plotting with Joan. Brenda knows about Chrissie's past with her father and for her to show no compassion what so ever confirms that she's not all there. Chrissie is actually a good mother, all she did was fiddle with the dole by having a job and not telling them. I really can't stand people like Brenda. They're evil in a way. The fact she can take somebody's kid away from them, show no emotion when doing so, makes me glad that Brenda could never have kids in the first place.

Most modern countries don't reqiure a woman to change her name when they marry. It's their choice. If Colleen changed her name and isn't divorced yet she is still Burns and after divorce she will have to legally changer her name back if she wants to.

Gaff, caught in scene where Ferguson visits Chrissie's sis-in-law: "I've taken good care of Libbie." Er, ain't it supposed to be "Elizabeth"? Or is Libbie a nickname for Elizabeth? If so, please excuse this friendly addition to these fine posts. Please, continue - you're all doing a formidable job! And, whilst we're at it, doesn't Ferguson walk as if there's a plank attached to her back? Wow, what a presence!

Yes, Libbie and even Liddie are short forms for Elizabeth. I think it has to do with little ones not being able to make the zed sounds quite yet.

I don't get what Ferguson's motivation was in basically telling Wendy that she lied for Steve and implying he actually did touch Chrissy....How is that showing solidarity to a fellow officer, as she says, dobbing him in to woman she knows he's interested in? I guess it's just to show the audience just how bent she is that she would admit lying so calmly and without guilt...
@1981Galadriel

I'm puzzled too. I figured she covered for him, so that she could continue to pursue Hannah without worrying about a crack down on the staff. But if that's case it doesn't make sense for her to imply he's lying to Wendy.

This was a really good episode, Judy finally getting out was good for one of my favourite characters. The three characters I hated the most above all others in this series were Doreen, Noleen Burke and Chrissy Latham. It was so satisfying to see Bea heavy her, and The Freak conspire against her. The woman isn't fit to raise a child and doesn't deserve one if she's willing to cry rape for her own personal gain.
