The writers didn’t have to be so cruel they could have given Shane and Joan a nicer parting of the ways as most viewers buy the Joan side of her Freak character . Would have been lovely if they could have shared a poignant moment reminiscent over the Major before she gently took him back to his foster family . This show can be heartbreaking at times .

Its a shame Inspector Thorne isn't handling this murder case, he would be much more calmer and professional about it. At this stage, Dennis is just an unlikely suspect who needs eliminating from the inquiries, and yet that swine Grace is treating him like he is the most likely culprit on the most flimsiest of information. Maybe Grace wants to believe that Dennis did it in order to make his own job easier, but in reality he should be treating him with more respect given what little he has to go on. After all, there were five other girls killed and he has no evidence that Dennis was anywhere near any of them prior to their murder. All Grace's poor attitude tells me is that he is pretty clueless about what really happened, so he's clutching at straws in order to be seen to be doing something. Anita Selby is played by the same actress as Jackie Nolan was back in the mid 100's. Her hair is much shorter though, which is the main difference appearance wise.

And I say the past 2 1/2 years or so, because that was about the time Judy (Betty Bobbitt) passed away. I got to know her the last few years of her life, and asked her if “Pixies Song” was ever released, and she gave me a definite no. On the other hand, “On The Inside” had been released in 4 different arrangements, including the instrumental sad piano version used on the show, both the vocal & instrumental versions used in the credits, and the complete song.

I really don't understand the whole Prisoner cliffhanger format sometimes. Like in the previous episode, the cliffhanger was that the Freak ordered Janice to eat the soup. It ended there. At the start of this episode, they extend the whole "before the credits" cliffhanger scene to include the Freak ordering Lou to eat the soup after Janice wouldn't eat it. Surely that would have been better as the previous episode's cliffhanger? They do this occasionally, adding to the pre-credit cliffhanger scene with new material. It's really weird, and probably catches people out when they fast forward to the end of the credits and miss the extra material. Happened to me a few times and I had to go back to see what happened.
