Hyundai i20 N-Line - Engineering Mode in the car’s infotainment

While going through the service manuals of the car I found a way to access the infotainment engineering menu that gives you access to some of the diagnostic systems and configuration options in the car.
Be warned that I’ve no idea what all you can change with this and how it will affect your car, so don’t fool around with the options on this mode too much or you may end up bricking your head unit. That said this is definitely an interesting menu and has a lot of functions that deserve some more exploring.

for your AMP menu at 3 minutes in, are you able to change to different amp settings? trying to upgrade my screen and its stuck on the wrong AMP for my car and seems like thats the only screen that doesn't let you change anything wondering if there's a different way or if maybe the dealer has a tool?

nothing you can do, it happens once in a while, when the infotainment shuts off and turns back on fully.

Hai Prithwi. how does the n line compare to polo, in terms of safety and built quality?

Build quality is at par, features are out of this world. Safety is better as it gets more airbags and is a 2021 chassis vs a 2008 chassis. missing some underbody cladding that is a glaring omission on a 13L car, no excuses for that @hyundai. Fortunately the parts exist in their other models so its a matter of finding them and retrofitting them.

@@kartikeyapanwar I don’t know if the Verna or venue have underbody protection. If they do then it can be retrofitted to i20 as they are the same platform

@@PrithwiRay thanks. I actually checked and both the Venue and Verna have the same little skirt at the front that doesn’t cover any of the crucial components at all. I find this very disturbing and I hope Hyundai fixes this going ahead or at least gives customers who want this protection the option of getting it.

Well IMT is a bit slower to shift and you can’t shift fast with foot on accelerator

I hope someone here can help me. I have a 2022 Tucson and after seeing online that there is a way to activate WiFi CarPlay or Android Auto I changed the variant cpu to 0 in order to activate the wireless CarPlay. For some reason it didn't work so I tried to update the system to the newest software. It didn't solve the issue. The main problem right now is that I want to change back to variant cpu 01 in order to use wired CarPlay, but, when I try to access engineering mode it asks 8 digit code and not the 2400 code I used before. I am really stuck with this and I would appreciate if someone can help me here 🙏

Hate to say it but vw india really messed up this time.Localisation is making there cars worst by time and hyundai on the other hand is upping the game and this car does indeed steer better and do flip flops on the road all thanks to vw india turning to gabriel for suspensions components instead of the eu sachs that explains older polos driving much better than newer ones but two things still plague this car in my view one is the safety no matter how many airbags you put in a car its the chasis and the pillars which actually saves lives and pillars on hyundais have always dissappointed and the kia seltos breaking in two makes me doubt even more polos take that hit and in terms of life threatening situations id rather be in a polo with broken bones but alive and the second thing where this car fails is the power ive seen enough races between the polo and this rolling or standing to conclude that polo even with a torque converter runs faster and is more fuel efficient too but breaking and handling in a polo is not what it used to be.If someone plans to drive a car stock i20 it is.But theres a reason why polo has been selling for over 10 years its the vw magic in the chasis which seams to be disappearing now.Vw is now any other avg car manufacturer only cars left are the cbu units which will make you grin always.
