I'm in the middle of this exact same scenario. I did the MIB 1 to MIB 2 swap in my GTI, brought it to the dealer to have component protection removed and in doing so they screwed up the FEC/SWAP codes and now nav, carplay, and performance monitor don't work anymore. Now I have to fix it myself. Can you share how you did the patch?

Because I can do everything you are doing in these videos (look for installed and supported codes, get the VCRN and so on) but will I be able to activate e.g. carplay? Hi mr-fix, I have applied MIB2 toolbox but I do not see there patch option (in green engineering menu), am I missing something or there is additional video tutorial for patching SWaP codes? I have version MST2_EU_VW_ZR_P0138T and part number 1Q0035864. And one additional note I have OBDeleven Pro version. I have added the codes but they show as Invalid (I suppose that's because not patched right).

Instruction says that the system needs to be patched first. Otherwise codes will be marked as invalid.

FEC/SWaP codes are signed with VAG private key. Self-generated keys will not be properly signed and will be detected by the unit in the car as invalid since the signature is not correct. Patching the unit for SWaP will trick the unit into recognizing self-generated codes as valid.

Self-generated code will not be signed with VW private key. This means that the self-generated code will be rejected by the system and marked "invalid". There are ways to bypass the signature check. Depending on your hardware version vendor (Harman, Technisat, or Delphi) there are different ways of doing it.

Hello Mr. Fix, I went to the dealer and they removed the component protection, but nothing works for me, only the radio, I bought a MST2_EU_SE_ZR_P0516T with only one sd slot, when I installed it I had everything, full link, but when I started the car the component protection turned on and at SEAT they deactivated it... but everything stopped working except the radio, in the swap codes it appears as temporarily blocked ALL the codes including bluetooth, could you please tell me if only entering the codes would restore the licenses? or on the contrary, do I need to patch the unit by soldering or usbhsd cable?
