Their agressive growth is the result of high levels of cytokine expression. The young spring shoots can also be emulcidied and turned into a rooting liquid, or you can dry it and make a home made rooting powder out of it. Great for cloning and saving money on rooting compounds or making seedling root booster additives all from something you've already got on hand!

arn't willow roots very invasive and can get into pipes in the ground and cause all types of problems? I know some cities don't allow them for that reason.
