Could I possibly be only the third person to comment on this video since 2016? Basically this is a very technical video presented by an exceedingly professional announcer. It tells you the principles related to aircraft performance that you hopefully learn before it is too late. I am reminded of a YT video where the pilot with family goes down to look at a field fire and continues to fly over the field of crops until he suddenly sees power lines ahead of him. He yells out "over or under" and pulls steeply back on the stick only to stall and crash. As the announcer describes the "acceleration" process I can see that pilot trying to pull out of danger when it was absolutely certain he couldn't make it. I think this is a great video that in my case required just a little patience. I'll look at it every now and then. Thanks to the announcer. None better.

I might be in the wrong here, but I'll understand high density as high density thus higher pressure typically at lower altitudes, and at low density lower pressure typically at higher altitudes.

Could anyone explain the effect of altitude on range portion? The way it was worded was a bit confusing

airspeed increases from 100to 200knots. And parasite drag increase 4times. But why Power required increases to 8times?
@Ab-ml1kd2 жыл бұрын
Parasite Drag is proportional to square of velocity But parasite power is cube of velocity
