No, life for murder, pallets are only a footnote in the story. Maybe he was scared of getting run down, but it was his choice to stand in front of the truck. For all his authority, I doubt the deceased fellow was out to harm the rent-a-cop. However, he was agitated into a corner. He was supposed to be a glorified camera with a phone. Car almost killed him first. Did you catch that? BUT... BOTH were at fault! One tried to murder with a car (and his wifes door open even) and others were not allowed a gun and provoked because he fired pepper spray first. So, the guard instigated by bringing firearm and spraying, thus the charge of 2nd not first. It would be first if he had not been almost run over first. And the other guy wasn't in his right to try to drive over him. Had he lived, he would have faced attempted murder & assault with deadly weapon (car) or if succeded he would have had murder 1st. He should have waited for his wife to call cops. And guard should have just called the cops and not accosted. BOTH at fault. But they had tresspassed many times and ultimately paid for it with his life. Foolish to go back, foolish to spray and not have permit to carry. Society is nuts.

If the store manager of Lowe's had approved of Freddy's coming, then this would not have been an issue for a year or so. The confusion would have stopped at the 2nd time. A simple "Is he allowed to here?" "Yes." End of. The guards would've spoken to the store manager several times, if not daily, while employed. Freddy would have come up in conversation. So obviously, the store manager and the security guards concurred with the idea that Freddy wasn't allowed on the property, or else they wouldn't be ordering him to leave over the course of a year. Lowes even had a Facebook post on their official page stating [a man in a red truck keeps coming to the store and stealing pallets. This was clearly a murder. The guard pepper sprays the man, tells them to leave, and then stands directly in front of the car so they can’t. Then when they try he opens fire and murders the poor dude. I’ve been pepper sprayed (willingly) and there’s zero chance of me driving immediately afterwards but there’s also zero chance of me seeing anything in front of me if I did. We have to know what it’s like to carry it and use it. Clearly, this guy had zero training, thought he was something, and probably watched too many movies. A person carrying this kinda stuff, without immense and repetitive training, is a very deadly and dangerous thing, if that isn’t obvious.

It includes but is not limited to, the person, or holder of a position, designated as the person or position holder in charge by the Governor, board, commission or governing body of any political subdivision of this state." As a Security professional, it makes zero sense that the security company banned him from the Lowe's parking lot when he had an agreement with Lowe's to be there. As a security company, you follow the client's lead in enforcing policy. In this case, Lowe's. The client is the one paying the security company. The confrontation never should have happened. That's one. Two, most jurisdictions require security personnel to get an Armed Guard license if they plan to carry a weapon. Also, you need to clear that with the client. For most, they don't want armed guards on the property for liability reasons. You can't just carry a weapon when on the job. Three, obviously the deceased man isn't a completely harmless/innocent victim. Realistically there was an angry/violent confrontation between the two men that got far out of hand.

Police 🚔 or sheriffs show up & then talk to random crowds, by standers. Never the 911 ☎️ callers or security. If you work armed, train & know the laws, lethal force standards. Avoid places that serve alcohol 🍷🍸🍺. Avoid hotels, apts 🏘 or HOAs. Everything you say or do is wrong. The guests or residents will nitpick any problem. Lie to mgrs.

He seemed to think that he was gonna get off scott free. I know his defense was that Nelson tried to run him over, but to shoot the guy 4 times?? Plus, he wasn't even allowed to carry a gun. He gave off a sense of entitlement. We'll see how that goes over in prison.

i saw the body cam footage on newsbreak app that security guard messed up big time. nelson went forward with truck, backed up in reverse. all the while the security guard had his gun drawn and aimed at nelson. then nelson gives him the middle finger and turned his wheel to the right he accelerated slowly and then this frigging guy fired like three shots straight through the windshield. and the mrs who was with him was on the passenger side of the vehicle outside standing watching the whole thing up close. this guy is gonna be in his mid fifties when he gets out maybe sooner than that. hes gonna get to live and enjoy life. nelson isnt. its messed up. no humor here.

that little man will not enjoy life for a very long time. he'll be passed around as a toy for at least 25 years (before eligible for parole).. then afterwards he'll have to live with the nightmare of his time in prison. I doubt he'll have any decent sleep ever again.

he claimed that he drove towards him, wanting to hit him with his car. But he started shooting (4 times!) immediately after the car started moving. It would have been possible to simply step aside instead. Better don't watch the shooting. He really shot this guy right in front of his wife's eyes, leaving him no chance to survive, traumatizing his wife forever.

If you watch the whole saga, the inevitable conclusion is ... ego. Ego and a complete failure to understand his job and the law. It was murder.

He had beef with that guy for a couple months. So I have to guess he just wanted any reason no matter how small to shoot. No sane person gets infront of somebody’s car and then cry their life is in danger when they move slightly forward

He was being ran over. It's okay for a real cop to shoot and murder. But a security guard just doing his job gets sent to prison for life that's crazy

If he was a regular cop he probably wouldn't even have been prosecuted. I've seen videos where cops intentionally jump in front of a car to justify shooting the driver. This guy was trying the same trick.

I'm surprised Lowes would hire a guy without a license to hold the gun he carries in the parking lot. It's sorta Lowes fault for not checking their employee.

He would have more than likely been employed by a guard company, not Lowes.

Lowe’s hired the security Company. Both the security company and Lowe’s should have seen he was carrying a firearm when the contract called for an unarmed officer.

This guy did NOT work for Lowes. He worked for a private security company which was hired by the company that owns the property. He had nothing to do with Lowes, he was basically a glorified parking lot attendant.

@@scottcpan68I get what you're saying but ultimately Lowe's has some responsibility. Just because he's a temp worker for some other company does not negate the fact that he's there because of Lowe's. Tf.

Thats insane. I saw a video about a woman who killed her husband and only got 16 years for it. And her family kept custody of the children and wont allow the fathers family to see them. Premeditated and everything and only 16 yrs.
